        Wut

      • +1

Your not good with numbers eh

    • +2

      How would someone lose money?

        • +2

To be fair to them though, it's been pretty well documented that stock nationwide of CPUs/GPUs are pretty volatile. And the price of tech products falling just makes sense? Especially due to crypto getting colder

          • -1

@mckvpb: Prices have been falling since last year but retailers kept them artificially up. It was not crypto from around November last year. I've worked in the IT hardware industry and I know how these guys do things. It's worse than car salesmen.

            • @[Deactivated]: if you work in IT hardware industry why not make your own pc with your parts from your connections?

        • +1

You understand these guys run a business right.

It’s the purchasers choice whether they see the value and whether they want to purchase it now or wait for the next deal.

          • @fillit: You think people are that rational? If that was true then there would be no gambling, drugs, unhealthy eating etc etc

Advertising and marketing using the right techniques create the need in the mind of the consumer. Ask any marketing professional.

            • +1

@[Deactivated]: The whole ozbargain platform is marketing?????

People need to make up their own minds on what they want. I don’t think people here end up buying everything that pops up at 50% off.

        • Your criticism is based on the assumption that GPU prices will continue to fall, which is not a given. Also if you’ve followed techfasts posts at all you’d know the limited stock point isn’t just marketing

          • @GenghisGun: my guess this is the rock bottom price of GPU: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/685642

you see no other retailer even willing to touch this new baseline price.

retailer won't keep dropping down price just because some say HODL HODL on every post.

At the end the customers will give in, otherwise they ended up stuck with gtx 1070 since 2015 or integrated graphics.

    10th Gen .. no deal!

    • +7

as far as gaming goes, the 10400f is perfectly fine with a 3060ti.

      • +8

Yeah I've got the same CPU with a 3070. People will find flaws in anything. Put 11th gen in and complain it needs a better CPU….

        • 12 gen is actually quite crunchy though, so fair this time if you got $$$

  • +2

Good Deal Gigabyte if a bit iffy atm

  • +8

You're a saint Luke for always persisting with the unwashed commenting masses. Looks like a good build to me. Nice mid range pricepoint for some good mid range (or high range for some game specs) gaming.

Perfect for a kid who wants to run Fortnite on ultra, CSGO, DOTA, all the usuals at 1080p that don't need the latest and greatest.

    • +7

Correct me if I'm wrong but this would run pretty much everything even AAA games on ultra at 1080p, if someone really wanted a PC for those kind of games those ~1k builds with a 6600xt would probably be more suited.

      • Yeah, almost everything will get 60fps+ at 1440p even (even cyberpunk average 53fps for a 3060Ti using the new 1.5 benchmark if I recall correctly)

    • +2

Those games.. literally run on a 5600g with no graphics card at 1080p…

    • -1

3060 Ti is capable or running Metro Exodus @43-45 FPS on 1440p on Extreme quality, Ultra Ray trace & DLSS, etc.

    • +1

A 3060ti can run better games on high than the garbage you listed.

  • -2

Boss, 3070 at this price next week? 😆

  • -5

    Sir, 3070 soon? 😂

  • +2

Any deals on an entry level gaming machine?
Very little gaming but something quite reasonable for video editing (not 4K)

  • HODL?

    • It's tech. Always HODL if you can.

    • So tempting now, as its $300 cheaper than the momojuju 3060Ti prebuilt! Don't want to regret now when coming Easter prices will be even better!

      • +3

I think it comes down to whether you want it and if you will use it enough now or can you wait till Easter? After waiting and waiting, I bit the bullet and bought this same exact build (but with a 3060 non-ti) for pretty much this same price on black Friday last year. Seeing this price now with a 3060ti makes me think I should have waited but I have spent quite a few hours playing games on the PC in the last 3.5 months which I wouldn't have got to do otherwise so I don't regret the purchase!

    • I’m trying so hard to HODL right now, but these deals are getting really good

  • +1

Got this deal end of last year, would recommend, no issue so far.

  • +1

If this was 12th and a bit more pricey, would defo a great deal. Otherwise, i would skip 10th gen as they tend to run kinda hot

  • What is a good basic rig for 4k video editing these days?
Wanting to run DaVinci Resolve for some drone footage editing and audio overlay.
Emphasis on a quiet pc (or laptop) and preferably able to switch off RGB lights.

  • Hi Luke,

I hate to bring this up here but I have been trying to get a refund for my order TF4765382631 for about 2 weeks and still not get it. This amount is not small to be delay like that.

    Thanks

    • +1

I’ll look into it and sort it tomorrow

      • Thanks, I appreciate it.

      • +2

I got the refund this morning, all good now, thanks.

  • Thanks OP, been waiting for this deal. Bought one!

    • Thanks!

      • Hi Luke, just to confirm that all the prebuilts are simply plug & play, with unactivated Windows preinstalled, right?

        • +3

          Correcto!

  • getting transaction failed after entering payment details

    • +1

Do you live in Russia by any chance?..

    • Working now just bank being funky I guess

  • I'm looking to upgrade from a 1080, ryzen 5 1600 to something like this, is this a worthy deal to buy now, or should I wait for GPU prices to drop?

    • That's the million dollar question! As you might have seen on other pre-built PC deals, a lot of commenters say wait (or more accurately "hodl") but no one knows when the GPU prices will bottom out. Having said that, I'm guessing that prices won't go back up after they bottom out so you're better off waiting if you're not in a rush.

      • Is it true that Easter brings about good, potentially better, deals than this one? I'm happy to wait a little while. Thanks for the help

        • I'm not sure about Easter sales. It might be better asking the poster, Luke from Techfast.

  • Looks like the voucher has expired. Might need to update this one.

  • hmm, on their website it says that "All TechFast Express systems marked as in stock are fully assembled, …, and ready for next business day shipping".
But the email I received after making an order says "All PCs are built to order, and the current timeframe for receiving and processing orders, build, testing and dispatch is approximately 14 business days, but may extend past this in busy periods"

Anyone here know if I can expect the above deal to be shipped during the "next business day", or does it still need to be built and tested?

    • +1

This is not a techfast express system

      Estimated Dispatch Times
TechFast Express PCs: Next Business Day
Customisable PCs: Peak Season - Please refer to Product Description and Build & Shipping Times tabs

Customisable systems: All customisable systems are built to order; none are ready to ship "off the shelf". Our current estimated time from order placed to dispatch is approximately 5 business days (Monday to Friday). While we will do everything in our power to ship PCs within this timeframe, this is an estimate only. This, along with the information regarding Australia Post's delivery times below, should be factored into your considerations when purchasing from us.

  • Hi Luke, how is stock looking for this at the moment? Thanks!
