Bought this last year. Battery is very solid and lasts all day with normal-heavy usage on max screen brightness, downside is that it's a bit heavy (5000mAh battery) but not anything unusual compared to most phones these days. Camera not the greatest and my face sometimes presses buttons the screen when calling. Also comes with a translucent case that doesn't look great but does the job. Not water resistant. Otherwise a solid phone that I think is good for the price, especially if you appreciate Motorola gestures (shake Torch, twist Camera).

Personally, I think the camera is below average. Also, the brightness is barely enough for a bright sunny day.

Otherwise, decent phone. I'm happy with mine.

Excellent battery life but I don't use the 5G functionality.

      • I've found the camera fine in well-lit/outdoor conditions but I agree, definitely shoddy in most other conditions. I've never had an iphone/galaxy to compare screen brightness with but I've found it ok on sunny days, though I do need to cover it with a hand sometimes if I'm in full sun at the beach - not sure if that is normal.

There are phones that will be plenty bright to use in direct sunlight, won't find such a phone though for under $500.

with 108 megapixels you're tough to please

Considered it at some point but the lack of water resistance was a deal breaker for me.

Interested in which phone you ended up getting with water resistance at this price point? Could you please share?

      Thanks

      • Ended spending up more. Bought Oppo.

        • Which Oppo?

  • Motorola have issued with Andriod Auto. You need to unlock phone before connecting to your car.

    • If I am not wrong, now this can be changed in AA settings.

      • Have you tried this on your Motorola?

        The AA settings don't work.

There are other methods to get AA working but its a lot of messing around.

  • does this phone have wifi calling…

    • yes it does

      • On which telcos?

        TIA

        • +1

          Telstra. Not sure about others.

I see that JBHiFi and Harvey Norman have this at ~$440. Is there any places that have this where I can get it in store? Or will they price match?

    • Check OW if they have it, you can then get it 5% cheaper ith their price beat guarantee

    • Should be able to price match at JB plus delivery, my local OW dont have in stock

Got this recently. Fast and good battery but the proximity sensor on mine sucks (others have mentioned this too). I'm always muting myself/dialling other numbers/etc with my cheek
