        Sucks. Thanks.

  • From Byron to Coolongata Telstra and Boost is dead. Thank you Optus and Vodaphone network.

And inland to Kyogle and Wiangaree, I have a number of telemeted data recorders in the area that have not connected since Monday

    • Optus pretty dead in Ballina

And nothing for people on AYG. Actually, it would be better if they just made some essential web sites that people may be in need of like insurance and financial assistance unmetered rather than giving normally heavy users more data so they can watch cat videos to keep them entertained. This has the potential to further congest a possibly already congested network given the loss of NBN services.

    • Is that what AYG users think everyone else does? High-fiving and slapping each other on the back while watching cat videos?

  • I live in Brisbane and my "Six 28-Day Renewals of amaysim 2GB Mobile Plan" from Groupon just got 20GB bonus!

  • Nice initiative but wouldn't most of the mobile towers also be impacted due to flooding?

    • no really, built on high ground and I expect with priority for power

      • Still, a lot of telstra towers have been down or running at limited capacity since Monday.

    • +1

Yes, very limited mobile reception. Still nothing in Ballina after 3 days.

      • Extra data for Ballina for people in Ballina then!

    • Some of the backhaul is affected
