aswell as keeping a clean yard /compost mulch piles seperate from garden beds and hand picking the odd ones manually when i no longer need to apply a repellent
*just adding that maintaining your garden and the area around it will help with all kinds of pest management

Just pour beer in a container and leave it out in your garden. Slugs and snails are attracted to the beer and will get drunk and drown when they fall in
This also kills other reptiles that eat poisoned slugs.
