    Why?

    • +4

      Why not?

        • U convinced me. It’s Bose NC7 then

          • -3

@deanmoriarty: Haha! Hey you do you brother.
If you really like them and you feel as though they are worth paying your hard earned dollars for & won't regret it then grab them.
I think anyone who has a hobby they really love has spent silly money on things because they want to be unique or just have to have it. Personally I find fashion and particularly labels insane but it's not my thing. For me I'd rather save a few $100 and wear something not quite as cool if it didn't compromise the listening experience.
Each to their own, I'm just sharing my personal opinion.

        • I have had QC 25s for over 7 years they only just broke the left speaker just decided to die on day and that was it.

So Bose do not last for ever at all, mainly because of the materials used. I would say the APple ones with better quality materials should last longer than 7 years if you use the 3.5mm cable and not the wireless abitlities because batteries don't late forever.

          • @kungfuman: My bose QC 25's ear pads fell a part in about 6 months on my beard, got a replacement pair and those wore away in another 6 months. Comfy, but not built for facial hair at all. My xm3's are almost 4 years old now and zero sign of wear.

They are rated high, even by non Apple centric publications like What-HiFi. If you listen to music for hours every single day, like a lot of us do, then the cost per hour is pennies.

        • +8

I own both, the Apple AirPods Max smoke the Bose totally, only downside is it is heavier.

Apple sounds MUCH better than bose, it blocks MORE noises than Bose. And Apple and Siri seamless integration is great.

Overpriced or not depends on personal budget, there are more expensive audiophile head-phones out there, someone will be happy with Japanese car and complain about how expensive the European cars are, all personal preference mate.

@OZGE: Thanks bought because of this comment.

            • @nightelves: no worries you will love them! I dont listen to Bose now after the purchase, i might use Bose when travel due to lighter in weight and it hurt less when they are lost during travel :)

          • +1

@OZGE: That was my only issue with them was the weight… other than that they are a tier above the Bose quality wise.

I got the silver ones and bought those silicone wraps to make sure the band didn’t get dirty. Silver is a nice colour way different from all the black headphones out there.

Overpriced for the rich people or if you want to flex it to your mates

  • are they only bluetooth? can you also plug them in with 3.5mm?

    • -1

I'm pretty sure they have a removable 3.5mm cable.

    • Bluetooth, if you need to connect to 3.5mm, you need to buy a separate lightning to 3.5mm adaptor…

      • o yeah I remember this its that 30 dollar lightning to 3.5mm cables for this. got it.

  • +4

it doesnt work wireless with apple lossless - that is its biggest downside

    • +4

I can guarantee you wouldn't hear the difference from a blind test

      • +1

You hear with your ears, not your eyes, silly!

    • +2

Well Apple was being honest with the public. The protocol can’t do lossless and even if it was wired it couldn’t do lossless because there is a step in the process that did a conversion.

These or “I’m a twat” cap?

The cap is cheaper but the cans are more convincing.

  • +1

if they happy to pay that and it value for them ok with me
Ozbargain is about hunting the cheapest price not saying why unless the product is crap

  • any reviews/experience of the seller? the price looks too good to be true considering it retails for $900 from Apple.

    • +2

OW price matches HT if you’re worried about the seller.
Don’t worry about Apple’s retail price. I doubt anyone is paying that. These are regularly $700 and recently have started going down to $600.

  • +1

Just price matched at OW for the blue set for $592.80

  • It is at JB HIFI if they price match with gift cards it will be close to $520-$550 range .

  • can't see the $592 price tag. With discount code, it comes down to $661.10
