50% off The Popular MEElectronics M6 in-Ear Headphones (Clear) - $15/Pair after Discount!

M6CL_GOOGLE_50OFF

Hi Guys,

MEElectronics is having a 50% off on the clear version of the M6 in-Ear Headphones for the Google Offers Beta, this was only open to the US buyers. I have heard a lot of good things about this headphone so I decided to email MEElectronics and ask if people from overseas can have the same offer. After two days they have replied with a discount code for me to have the same deal.

I just think good deals like this I should share with you OZBargainers, so I asked them if I can offer this in here as well and they finally emailed back this morning and extend the offer till the 30th of this month. Even better they have thrown in a discount code for shipment too which will deduct another $2.95 for you guys (bad luck for me, I have already ordered 2 pairs yesterday, so shipping discount wasn't there yesterday for me).

Here is a review from Head-fi: http://www.head-fi.org/t/453242/meelectronics-m6-review

Discount code: M6CL_GOOGLE_50OFF
Shipping code: SHIPPING_COUPON (Only work with orders above $25, so have to order 2 pairs to make up to $25 to use this code)

Enjoy shopping!!!

Looks like you've gone to a lot of effort to share this deal with OzB, +1!

    • +26

ha ha, was just after the discount from MEElectronics at the beginning, but I've had so many good deals from OzB since I found out about this site, so this is me trying to give something back to all you OzBargainers!!! Keep the good deals coming guys!!!

  • +1

scores pretty well here too. obviously at this sort of price it's not going to have the best sound quality, but for its price range it looks like it's very good (one of his favourites in its class, and a reference point he keeps referring to in other reviews):

    good work sharing the deal!

  • Cant seem to use the 50% Discount code on quantity more than 1…

Coupon code "M6CL_GOOGLE_50OFF" is not valid. Your shopping cart must contain a total quantity of less than 1. Your current cart quantity is 2.

How did you order two pairs?

    • +1

Oh, really, my bad!!! I could get two pairs with the discount yesterday, I thought this will be the same because the discount code is the same. But MEElectronics did mention in the email that they hope Google Offers Beta wouldn't find out about this side deal. I will update the offer, 50% off for one pair with shipping discount is still a sweet deal I think… sorry guys!!!

      • +1

Actually i tried to add 2 pairs in the cart and applied the code, everything was fine ???
so what's wrogn with other people????

        • 2 pairs works for me too!

    • +7

I took the trouble to contact MEElectronics again and you can now order max 2 pair.

  • coupons for half price only work for one unit not two, unless im doing something wrong?

  • Just an update, you can only have 1 earphone per order to use the 50% of coupon.
So if you want cheap shipping you need to buy something else - can't get 2 earphone :(

  • +3

You can only buy one pair of these using the coupon code; the cart throws an error if you add two. That also means you can't use the free shipping coupon, either, unless you buy something else as well.

That Head-Fi.org review you linked to gives an RRP of USD$20, and Amazon's got them at $20.67 (versus MEElectronic's price of $29) so it's not much of a discount after the coupon.

I appreciate the work you put into this for the rest of us Ozbargainers, but it's not looking like much of a bargain…

    • Yep. Two for $30 is definitely a bargain, but one for $22 not so much (although not a bad price I guess)…

      • Seems like everyone is forgetting the $2.95 off from the shipping discount code SHIPPING_COUPON

        • +1

No, if anything I was forgetting that it's only $2.95 off (and not free shipping). It's a comparison of $34 for two, vs $22 for one. Remember, the SHIPPING_COUPON code only works if you spend over $25.

Now that the discount works for two though, I think I will get a couple. Thanks for the efforts OP.

I took the trouble to contact MEElectronics again and you can now order max 2 pair.

  • +1

Just Purchased a pair, cheapest shipping was $6.95 to Sydney. So $21.95 USD all up.

    • +1

Did you use the shipping discount code SHIPPING_COUPON? should be another $2.95 off according to the email from MEElectronics.

      • As people have said plenty of times now, that is only available if you spend more than $25.

        • I took the trouble to contact MEElectronics again and you can now order max 2 pairs.

  • +1

While these might be cheap, I paid around $20 for a pair some time ago and they are actually not very good headphones.

A bargain for a set of in-ear headphones, I guess? But I've found them to be terrible.

    • Did you try to remove the memory wire to see if it improves the overall sound quality? Most people on Head-fi suggested this, I will give it a try when I receive mine.

      • The memory wire is just the stiffer wire that you can use to wrap around ear or maintain the bend and shape of the cord.
No sound quality increase I believe?

        • Depending on the shape of each person's ears, I think for some, the wire stops the earphone to go deep enough into your ear canals to give better sound quality. I am not saying removing the wire will upgrade the drivers inside if you know what I mean…

    Hey guys,
If you're looking to combine with another purchase for free shipping. Meelec are also currently doing a deal on their CW31s coupon code "WOOD_IS_GOOD" for $20 after disc (yes, it's a funny code, get it out of your system =P)

Can also find a review on http://www.head-fi.org/t/478568/multi-iem-review-236-iems-co…

    Hi guys,

Due to my misunderstanding, most of you guys couldn't buy 2 pair from the deal to make the shipping cost worth a while. To correct this, I just emailed MEElectronics again and requested for increasing the quantity each customer can buy. Guess what, they just emailed me back and increased the max quantity to 2 pair per customer. I hope that this works… below is the email I got from them…

"Just upped it to a maximum of 2 units per order. That's the most I can do without potentially getting in trouble. Hope that works for you guys!"

    Enjoy!!!

gold star sticker for you for commitment to the deal!

  • Duplicate post.

  • +1 for the effort you went to. After looking at the buds, I decided not to get them. I have plenty of cheap ones around, better to put $22 towards a really nice pair. Would have got them if it was free shipping for 1x pair though!

  • +1

So close to pulling the trigger, but I have no need for these atm…

    • Bought one anyway!!

  • darn it I just put an order through trying to make it 25 and it went through…. would of sooo got 2 pairs..
anthing i can do to reverse my order? I tried changing through my account but it says that I cannot change as it has been finalised….

    • maybe try emailing them…they appear to be very responsive!

  • Good deal. I wanted a mic with mine so I got the M6P off Amazon…~26 shipped.

Killer, OP! Thanks. Already own Westone 3s, which are worth every cent, but wanted to get another pair of IEMs to trash/not worry about. Bought two pairs. Also, for people worrying about the buds, I would also recommend Comply foam tips. I use them on my Westones, and it's like wearing ear plugs - incredible isolation, very comfortable, and don't get all sweaty like plastic/silicon does. I checked, and Comply make tips for the M6 - http://www.complyfoam.com/products/T-500/

    • i like your style: westone 3's + M6's for throwaway pairs!

i have a similar, but far more pov, setup of super.fi's + $4.5 UE200's from logitechshop as my throwaways! ahaha.

      • Ah yeah, how are the super.fis? If you ever decide to upgrade, I cannot recommend Westones enough. I got so sick of Sennheiser CX series falling apart and unsheathing at the jack every six months. These Westones have held up to some brutal abuse, and still going strong. I even accidentally dipped on of the buds in a glass of water - dried off a couple of days later and all good. Warranty support is excellent, too.

        • i have the 5EB (the bass monster version)…audiophiles hate them, but i love them (basshead!).

i haven't looked into IEMs for a while, but i think i was leaning towards IE8 or monster turbines (copper/silver/MDT) as an upgrade. i'm sure westone's would be pretty awesome, but i think the sounds of the others would suit me better personally.

or even better, customs! if i had scored a pair of $99 black friday triple.fi's, i would have gone to unique melody and asked them to make me a triple.fi EB frankenstien! aha.

    • I think others are saying only the T200 will fit the M6, better check before getting the tips, they are not that cheap… ha ha

  • +1

I pulled the trigger. Hopefully these will be good for running. I prefer in-ears but my current ones keep falling out. Thanks for the deal!

  • $33.53 all up through Paypal for 2 x earphones. Based on reviews on YouTube and the one OP posted, these seem like genuinely good quality earphones so I'm stoked! Can't wait to receive them. Two thumbs up for the OP. Lot of effort gone in to bring a great deal to the community.

    • yeah, these earphones are very good, just remember to give them at least 48 hours burn in for shaping their sound :)

  • Is it worth adding extra clear ear buds these to the order?

    e.g. http://www.meelec.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=TipSet4…

    I am such a N00B at earbuds =)

Hi all, so glad that you guys found my post helpful. I can see a lot of you are into audio and good quality sound. May I ask if there is any site out there which provide a platform for people to trade or exchange their used audio gear, such as headphones, DACs and Amps in Australia? If you have any recommendation, please kindly share. Thank you in advance, cheers…

    • You can sell used items on OCAU if you've been a member for at least 3 months. It's not specific to audio, but there are a lot of people who use the site and good quality stuff generally sells quickly, regardless of what type of item it is, unless you're asking too much of course.

      • thx CarbonTwelve for sharing this site, don't we have our own version of Head-fi in Aust?

  • hey just wondering where do i input the shipping discount to recieve the discount as i tried to put it in the coupon box but said it was invalid …. and yes i have ordered over 25 dollers worth but shipping coupon still says invalid , any help would be much appreciated

    • I just put it in the coupon box where you put the 50% off code, worked for me…

    • Make sure there is no space before or after the code. This was the mistake i made
