    • +2

Limited stock in Werribee, Ballarat and Geelong

    • +7

Still will get 1000 clicks from people just so they can see for themselves it's unobtainable

      • +1

Only in some states, there is enough stock around in other states to make it a deal

  • OOS in a lot of stores near me, I'm in NSW. Only store that does show stock is Five Dock and Punchbowl, with 'Limited stock'

    • +3

Worth a trip to Punchie to visit Trent

  • OOS at all Canberra stores.

  • Called jb hifi and they refused to do pricematch as limited stock nationwide

  • +3

Got an order through in W.A. Thanks OP!!

  • +1

    Bargain!
Some "limited stock" in Perth by the looks, possibly even the black

  • Got mine no worries at O'Conner, WA.

  • thanks OP. delivery is available for WA

  • what is 'Optus Bundle Bonus' for?

    • +1

Can get a discount on the handset if you bundle it with a fixed term plan.
Doesn't mention the phone is locked anywhere so shouldn't be any issues not bundling it

      • +1

It states that it is unlocked in the description

Stock check isn’t reliable. Rang my local and they have 4 in stock.

  • +1

So ummmm, Is this a good phone? I bought first and am asking quastions later lol.

I'm currently on a LG V30= but the GPS has become unreliable so was keeping an eye out for a new phone.

    • +4

i think its a decent phone for the price. (i am currently using LG V20)

    • +4

I went from the V30 to the Pro and love it.
Couldn't bite the bullet on the Fusion when I was shopping for them but for under $300, it would be extremely tempting.

Their models are odd though, the Fusion has an SD card slot and headphone jack where the mid and Pro don't. Also a larger battery. None of them have wireless charging which is a bummer.
Camera is a bit average on the lower spec from reviews I've seen but I didn't like the V30's camera. No complaints on the Pro one even though most reviews say that's quite average. Pretty average IP rating too if that's important.

    • +2

Phone decent all round but camera is shite. Only takes passable still photos in perfect lighting… Many photos are also blurry with no image stabilisation

      • +1

I found the camera really good.
The stock app is junk, but OpenCamera and GCam take nice shots.
It's a pretty common sensor. Perhaps yours is faulty?

        • +1

I found it pretty poor even with Gcam - poor autofocus, plasticky look, blown highlights unless using HDR+ Enhanced mode, which is laggy because Mediatek. Viewfinder is choppy too. Gcam works better on Snapdragon chips. Poco X3 Pro works much better with Gcam and has a better sensor IMO.

Stock camera app is junk with massive oversharpening to try and make up for the sensor's soft output.

Decent phone otherwise though. Screen a bit dim outdoors and like many modern phones proximity sensor not great, but great battery life and very fluid with clean software.

the true OzBargain way. Buy first, ask questions later, your OzBargain membership has been upgraded to Diamond.

      • +1

        This is the way.

    • The phone is not good. WiFi disconnects CONSTANTLY. Driving me insane. I've never had that problem with any other phone - research it too, plenty are having the same issue.

I bought this phone as the specs were good for the price and my Oppo A74 5G took too deep a dive in the pool.

The specs on the Moto should mean it's a better phone. Unfortunately this is not the case, for the following reasons:

Drop down does not allow drop-down quick bluetooth connect - this might seem small but I disconnect and connect to multiple BT devices daily and it's really annoying

WiFi keeps disconnecting. Oppo never ever had this issue. I find my phone CONSISTENTLY drops out of WiFi and stays disconnected. Very irritating. I actually remember I had an older Moto phone and it suffered from the same problem

Bluetooth audio does not start automatically when jumping in the car, despite this option being enabled on the phone. Oppo didn't have this issue

My Toyota Crown import now consistently shows 'Bluetooth Track 1' on the screen, I have tried everything and I can't get it to disappear. Horrendous

The camera is MUCH worse. Much much worse. It's rare the phone takes a decent photo and generally it has to be very bright lighting and landscape.

  • Got the Blue one click and collect in Joondalup WA. Handy backup phone for when one of the kid's ones dies

  • Does anyone know if it comes with a case and screen protector in the package?

    • +1

They come with a case, no screen protector

      • Cheers.

  • dont worry about the stock, just go jb hifi ask for a price match they got lots in stocks.

    • Thy refused on my call.

      • Don't call, just go for a visit and ask nicely.
the staff was not requested to fill up any forms to do the price match,
so the price on OW's website is good enough, they won't do th stock check and give u a hard time unless he don't like u somehow.
But when u called that's another story, they need to leave record for that.

        • +3

Can't say for this but whenever I've price matched in store, they always check the availability. More so when the price is harder to match

          • @shxhshzhz:

They nearly refused me once because the store with stock was around 25km away.

but u still got it right ?
it really depends of the staff u talked with.

I have this phone… It's decent all round but if you are after a good camera definitely avoid! It only takes passable still photos in perfect lighting.

  • Added it to my cart and was just about to check out…. Item out of stock :(

  • Thanks - scored one in Toowoomba.

  • Should i buy this? I like the Samsung s10.

    • +2

S10 is flagship device. Will have much better camera and the camera app is tuned more to have better pics. Also RAM and storage larger. Will be more expensive though…

  • Keysborough VIC limited stock

    • Dont bother, I ordered from there yesterday and they "can't find it" lol.

  • How's this phone compared to the Xiaomi Poco F3 5G
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/687101

Can you put a custom ROM on it easily?

    • +1

The F3 is 1.5x the price so not really comparable segments of the market. I think F3 is much more top end with that SD CPU. Probably beats it in camera too but that might be subjective. If you don't care about the slower dimensity CPU then this Motorola is the better value play (especially with real warranty)

      • What about custom ROM, do you think it'd be easy?

I'm thinking getting it for my kids use so this price point is much more attractive.

        • +1

Motorola is pretty much stock android. What's the benefit of a custom UI in this case?

  • Has anyone used a phone as a router before? Thinking this would make a cheap 5G router or can alternatively just use it with Felix for $35 a month unltd data.

  • +1

Tried JB to price match, best they could do was $299. Still great price

  • +1

How is the camera after installing GCAM 8.2 apk?

I have not tested this myself so use at your own risk
