    Fun story: I ordered Enterprise whole beans (last 30% deal) by accident instead of French press pre-ground. But luckily my JX hand grinder arrived the day after the beans arrived.

    Enterprise was a bit too subtle for my liking, was still nice and smooth but prefer something stronger, any recommendations?

    I wish I had known about the return policy earlier. I had to throw out Enterprise a couple of years ago. It was undrinkable.

    But I love Sumatra and just ordered a kg. It’s awesome.

      Hey there sav - we have our full range sold as Cold Brew to customers with varying tastes. The darker roasts like Stargazer or Thunderchild work super well in terms of deeper flavours from this method.
      Hopefully some users might see your question also and jump in here with recommendations.

    I usually get Sumatra or Colombia but this time I am experimenting with Pegasus as it seems to be smooth and mellow. I want to experiment by mixing it up with whole beans from Delonghi beans that I got for free which were too dark and intense for me to drink on its own. Wish me luck!!

    Hi guys

    Looking for recommendations. I bought from you last time when you had the 40% off. What was it - Enterprise blend maybe?

    Anyway not bad coffee but not suited to my taste so I haven't really used it. I like a big robust coffee. To give an idea my go to is Merlo Espresso beans.

    What would you recommend I try?

    Have ordered the Sumatra twice now - first bag was SO delicious but had a bean-shaped stone that destroyed my grinder. Second bag tasted horrendous and we went through a third of the bag before deciding to chuck it out. Not having any luck with the Sumatra, but may give the enterprise a go and see if we have better luck!

      I feel you, another local roaster I used I had the same experience, small stone in beans got into my grinder. I didn't destroy mine ( luckily! ) but was a bit annoyed. Haven't ordered since but glad your persevering with Airjo. I have used them as well in the past and a fan of their beans.

        Yeah I keep thinking back to how good that first bag was. Gotta say though, I'm ultra careful about checking all my beans for stones now, regardless of the roaster.

    I've bought several different varieties from Airjo.

    First, the express post is amazing! I can only remember one time it took longer (covid delays) than 2 days to reach me in Tassie!

    I've tried: Pegasus, Twilight, Thunderchild, Saratoga, and Sumatra.

    My 2 favourites are Pegasus (very mild and mellow, makes a change from my usual sort of beans) and Saratoga.

    I didn't like Thunderchild (very very dark, and I thought I liked darker beans) and Sumatra - couldn't get much flavour out of it.

      Great question kulprit and thanks for asking.
      It’s challenging right now to find a recycling option for multi-layered soft plastics. We have even discussed with Red-Cycle, the recyclers that take the soft plastics from Woolies outlets and even they can’t do it.
      However, we are talking with another global recycler that will soon take our bags locally to be 100% recycled. We are not there yet but working hard and getting close.

        Yeah a lot of the multi layered stuff is hard. At least your stuff has a reason to be like that.

        Worst one is Amazon with their paper shipping bubble padded bags.
        I'm pretty sure even if they made the outside plastic I could take it all to redcycle. At the moment they go in the bin (unless someone can tell me I'm doing it wrong)

    Hi,

    I thought I remember seeing a chart of flavours from smoothest to strongest? I think Thunderchild was at the bottom.

    I've ordered twice, first the Thunderchild cause of the name haha and then Sumatra which I'm just about to finish. Looking to try a third.
    Mrs liked the Thunderchild more than the Sumatra, so was thinking of something in between. We use a drip machine btw.
