Where can you find one of these for $76.60 (or less) delivered?

  • Delivery costs $55

    • $1699 for a stand.

But, duuuuuuuuude, it's designed in California …

      • +1

Yes, but still made in China!

        • +3

          Good vibes only, brah!

@Seraphin7: I guess if it does make one feel better in paying $1699 for a stand. Then why not. ;-)

It's more the Apple logo than the actual word California.

    • I saw the new studio monitor has a near permanent power cable (needing a special tool to remove it) and users can't swap between the apple provided mounts.

Even adding-in the delivery charge, I think OP has found a bargain

I don't see a point to use this or similar. TVs do have bases come along and how much is this one better than the factory default?
If you are okay this one, why not go for some wall mounts? For this price, I'm pretty sure we can get something much better.

    • +4

      It swivels.

I don't see a point to use this or similar.

It mightn't be a product you need then.

TVs do have bases come along and how much is this one better than the factory default

How many 55" or larger TVs come with a stand with integrated swivel?

If you are okay this one, why not go for some wall mounts?

What if you want a temporary installation? Or don't have a suitable wall to mount onto? Or live in a rental property?

For this price, I'm pretty sure we can get something much better.

You are welcome to post a deal for something much better whenever you like.

These are incredibly useful, actually. The reason is that several years ago manufacturers stopped producing the central base stands in favour of the crappy outer winglets that we see on virtually every TV today. This requires you to have an extra wide cabinet or wall mount or something along those lines, which not everyone has. Actually both my dad and sister are in need of this as they are upgrading and no new TV under $1K will have a central stand which can fit on their furniture.

      • +1

I bought a new stand recently to lift the TV so I could fit a bigger centre speaker. Some good ones on Amazon which mount to the vesa holes

      • no new TV under $1K will have a central stand

That is the issue. Most premium sets though come with a centre stand.

    • +1

      It swivels :)
Or for someone who the factory TV stands is wider than the TV table

      • Or for someone who the factory TV stands is wider than the TV table

That is my case, that is why I may prefer Samsung because of the TV stands.

But I am after 75" if I want to replace my FHD.

Lol try and price match @HN ? Try and get a dummie that won't look at delivery?

  • OOS :(

  • Didn't realise something like this existed but is the perfect solution for my new apartment. Will have to keep an eye out for other similar deals/products.

  • Damn it!!! I was researching this exact base and was looking to buy it - missed out :(

  • ebay has similar ones for $20 bucks delivered.. good quality too

    • Got one brand new fb maretplace for free with a shelf too. Box was water damaged

    • Link ?

        • That one is $32 not $20?
I’m tempted to get one of these from eBay anyone own one?
It’s possible temporary or might just keep it for a while.
Previous house I was in had wall bracket so tv went on there and blu ray player, sound bar went on to the glass unit we had under tv.
But our current place has holes on wall for a bracket but trying to match what was on there might be hard let’s just say I’m not putting more holes on there.

I was thinking of a tv unit but maybe not at this time as funds are tight after a house move etc.
But our current tv has weird legs on it that go out at an angle each side of our glass unit overlaps a little and i think might have issues with getting sound bar there.
So something like this works so I don’t have to put on the tv legs again and possibly the sound bar will go I front just under tv.

I might like the idea and just leave but plan was to get a tv unit later on.
I take with this bracket there is room for a sound bar next to in front of the stand.

Obviously there are a few seller of this item on eBay and I’m wondering the best to go with cheaper the better as after all I might upgrade to a tv unit but it will help my current set up im doing so with doing away with tv’s legs sitting on the glass unit for a start.
I would have went for tis deal on the item listed here but the shipping was the killer so eBay one seems better option but curious how it looks and the quality etc

          • @bwatt72: Have you used that stand, are the instructions okay and the unit good? I'm also in the market for one. The OP one is actually back @ 47 which is still half the price of the ones JB is selling, even when you add 55 delivery.

            • @Iggemo: @lggemo - I think I'm about to pull the trigger on the Artiss unit via eBay AU. Found this listing on Amazon for the same thing direct from the seller. 9 reviews and almost all positive. Only one 1-star review and was about quality of instructions that came with it.
              https://www.amazon.com.au/Artiss-Adjustable-Television-Anti-…

Other models from the seller also seem to have a reasonable amount of positive reviews.

              • @daanish: I’m tempted to get the one from Amazon just can’t remember size of my tv I’m sure it’s close to what max this stand goes to.

I currently have a glass tv table with my current tv which I will replace but not anytime soon has weird angled legs and I was thinking of this stand to put tv on and possibly allowing my soundbar to sit at front.
I just need to see if that’s possible with size of base on stand.
I do plan to upgrade to an entertainment unit but even if I did this can still be used with it so not really wasted money.
I’m just curious is this not easily knocked over?
I’m sure there are ones on eBay cheaper but I think it’s free postage from Amazon. Is item well packed and wrapped as sometimes items come scratched up like these due to poor packaging.

                • @bwatt72: I can't say I've actively tried to knock over my TV but It feels quite stable. It's a reasonably large footprint. I'd expect any minor bumps are more likely to rotate the TV than knock it over.

Packaging was pretty good. There was foam along the edges to protect from chipping and each piece was individually plastic wrapped and then carboard spacers separated the flat glass base from the rest of the bits.

              • @daanish: It looks like this might not be suitable for me tv as it says max distance from bottom hole to bottom of tv can’t be more than 240mm where as my tv is 300mm, the holes in general on tv seem ok to sizes given on Amazon but not from bottom of holes to bottom of tv which is annoying.
Base size of the stand would be ok for the glass table also and allow for soundbar.
Just making sure to measure size of tv I have it’s actual screen size not with framing if so then I think mine is 55 inch tv.
Can’t believe I’m 60mm from bottom holes to base of tv to big.

                • @bwatt72: Yes, the 55" is the screen size measured diagonally (top left to bottom right corner) and doesn't include any bezel measurement. There's another model of these that's for bigger TVs but obviously it's more expensive.
                  https://www.amazon.com.au/Artiss-Adjustable-Television-Anti-…

                  • @daanish: Yes seems my tv is 55 inch looking at this the holes are 200mm apart which fits description of the smaller stand but the distance from lower mounting holes to base of tv is to big.

But the bigger stand is more expensive but might be handy if upgrading to a bigger tv in future.

Maximum distance between lower mounting holes and tv base should not be more than 340 mm
My tv is 300mm for this and it seems it’s the only size issue I have to getting the smaller cheaper stand.

I checked on the size dimensions of stand at back of tv to make sure it’s hidden which it is.

But I’m thinking it’s probably the bigger one I need.

It is going to sit on a glass table made for a tv which last place was on wall and previously on same glass table with it’s legs.
But I never had the Yamaha soundbar when it was this tv on glass table and reason for this stand I like it takes the tv off the table,.
yes it has a foot print size on table with this stand but will allow me to put the soundbar at front of it.
I’m sure with the tv if was just on glass table with where they are legs are placed slightly goes over edges each end and could be an issue with soundbar going in front of using the tv legs.

@Iggemo: I bought this stand last week and it was delivered within a few days to Brisbane. I've been using it for a few days now and I'd say for ~$25-30 (you'll find some kind of eBay discount) it's definitely good value. I have a reasonable amount of experience with putting together wall mounts and have deciphered my fair share of basic flat pack type furniture instructions but the instructions would be fairly clear and straightforward for a rookie.

I have a 55" LG C8 OLED mounted on it and the 35deg swing angle has been more than enough for me to be able to increase my viewing angles/positions in my apartment. The cable velcros on the back have also made it easy to cable manage a moving TV but that's going to depend on where the I/O ports on your TV are in relation to the mounts and swinging directions.

One thing that wasn't clear on the listing was that it does come with various sets of mounting screws and spacers to attach the frame to the TV so I had already bought some screws from Bunnings. For $4 I felt more comfortable using the 316 stainless screws I bought than some unknown screws.

Ask any other questions and I'll try to answer.
