  • Is it also on dell ebay?

    • I wasn't able to find them on Dell eBay.

Also, thanks OP for the tip, got one briefcase.

the last deal, the Dell backpack? never received it.

seriously, Dell delivery partners are the worst.

between that order and now, I got a dozen other parcels without issues. Dell backpack is stuck somewhere, because they come at the same time when no one is here, and never leave any card.

My 15" dell backpack i bought march 17. Has an eta of april 26.

The 17" laptop bag i ordered yesterday march 22 is arriving april 1.

      😂

      • lol its still different products. A friend and I bought the same monitor, I got mine 20 minutes before him and his arrived 6 weeks before mine did

  • I got the backpack before and it’s great value. Delivery was quick too (brisbane) and I’ve told people at work to grab them too

    • Which one did you get?

      • Dell Essential Backpack 15 - ES1520P

Thanks, I took the punt and bought two - just been given 15" HP laptop for work, so needed a bag for it. Like the idea of a backpack to keep hands free.

  • Thanks Azif, I've ordered one of the $11.20 briefcases. Doesn't need to be anything too special for my needs, but it'll have less holes than my ~15yr old Dell briefcase!

    Great find OP.

    Briefcase W@nker!

  • Excellent post. Great price!

  • If you are a student with heavy text books an older version of this with the shoulder strap saved my back just used as a book bag. Bloody tax manuals.

I had a few full corporate models from an auction and they weren't this cheap.

  • I wonder whether Any of these would fit the macbook pro new 14” and 16”?

    • YES

Briefcase: Fits most laptops with screen sizes up to 15.6" (Max laptop dimension: 380mm x 260mm x 25mm)

Not sure about fitting 14 to 13 case

  • Please be aware that Dell will not leave this unattended, nor take it to a Post office for collection in Tassie.

If, like me, you are in Hobart, their courier partner is a 40 minute return journey from the CBD if you miss their two delivery attempts.
Beg and plead all you like, they won't leave it without a signature, which is madness in covid times.

I can't beleive I had forgotten this and just ordered a 14" sleve from them and saw the postage instructions at the end of the order which reminded me of the pain I went though before for a backpack before. I was on the verge of just donating it to the courier as it wasn't worth the petrol to get it.

So, after much angst online, I was told their online chat can't cancel orders (they can only SELL stuff you!), you need to call a 1300 number, which clearly has voip issues and eventaully get it cancelled.

Never again will I buy from the Dell portal, such a terrible model in these times and completely out of touch

In Tassie maybe. In Sydney, most couriers will just throw it out the window from a moving vehicle, usually somewhere near your or your neighbors home and then fake the signature on delivery. If the parcel had fragile or this way up stickers, they are less likely to slow down.

      • I am thinking more and more swift and shift couriers on sbs was a documentary and not a satire.

  • Thanks. Don't know why I purchased one but I'll add it to the already growing amount of laptop bags.

    • Same. I got like a number of targus ones. Now i got 2 dell ones on the way.

  • Haha, it's good to know I'll have company.

I have 2 Dell plus this one. 1 HP, 1 conco cheapy and a razor gaming laptop bag. Also I have 2 under my desk at work of Dell.

Before anyone mentions yes they all have laptops in them

  • These look smart but are thin with no padding so will offer very little protection in a drop

    • Do you have one? Almost bought one but if they have very thin protection maybe I'll pass..

I currently use a basic HP briefcase bag with less protection than I would like…

      • Yes bought for son for high school, but don't use it due to low protection. They are fine for sensible adults

  • Would love a deal on a backpack which can also be used as a briefcase

  • Looking for a deal for small backpack which can fit a regular 13-14 inch laptop… Most of the current backpack deals are just too big for a small gal. Look like an turtle when wearing big backpack lol

    • The 15" backpack dont look too big in person when i saw my work colleague with one.

I bought one also but my 15" laptop bag eta is april 26

And the 17" laptop bag is april 1.

    • The Essential Backpack 15” is an OzBargain favourite, link is in the Laptop Sleeve in OP’s post
I would recommend that per @xoom comment as well

  • How long would a Dell bag, sleeve last? I've bought a sleeve from Lenovo and although their delivery time was shit, the sleeve is really good

I just have a Crumpler bag cause of the quality and lifetime warranty. Ever since the my last bag's zipper broke Ive never sought to buy a cheap bag again!

Some of us never left ;)

  • Just make sure you check out the model before you buy it.
I bought a Dell backpack on one of these deals and it is useless. Terrible design.

  • I wish I could find a backpack that fits my laptop and charger, random work stuff (well, just a notebook nowadays), AND my lunch. I hate carrying two bags. Bonus points for one that's well priced (less than $20-3). First world problems I know
