  • Looks like the order total once added into the cart was: $3,045.45

Amazing deal. Thank you for posting!

    • Should still be $3350 though. You get the rest through gift card and cash back. Unless you already have a credit in your Amazon account?

      • Pretty sure $3045.45 is the price less GST. So still $3350…

        • Yeah it is. When I made the purchase I only needed to pay $3045.45. Do they charge the GST later on once imported? That's weird.

          • @HugoHugo: Weird, I looked and added and it said $3350.

  • Keep in mind R6 has quite a low megapixel count on the sensor. 20.1 to be precise.

    • Improved performance in low light due to larger light sites
    • Reduced potential to crop in or print at large
    • 20MP is plenty to print in a large size. I've printed at 24x36 inches with way less than 20mp as an example.

    • The recommended minimum resolution for A4 photo printing is 3510 x 2490 pixels. That’s 8.7mp. Unless you plan to do very heavy cropping or a billboard, 20mp is more than plenty.

      • It all comes down to distance from the printed material. In any case, it's something to be aware of. The minimum standard for photo focused full-frame cameras is 24.1mp for quite some time. Not clear to me why Canon opted for a lower res sensor in one of their 'premium/flagship' models. It would make sense if it was target towards video, as only a portion of the megapixels are required to generate 4/6k image.

        • Minimum standard? According to who?

          • @nafe: Find me a leading brand photo oriented full-frame mirrorless camera in the last 5 years with less than 24mp… not many if any.

            • @Thriftster: So based on that, you can't print with less? Righto.

              • @nafe: Not saying that at all. Just raising the point in general that this is a 'lower than average' megapixel body. Which might be of concern for some, who like their megapixels simply because they think bigger numbers are better (whether it has any impact or not on the intended output media). Do what you like, most are just posting to IG these days anyway. Personally i find the leverage to crop in a little bit without a noticable 1:1 pixel effect advantageous. Each to their own.
