  • Good deal. I've been on it for around 6 months now. Don't have any issues with it. Only thing is there's no international roaming, and I'm in another country at the moment 😜

Anyhow not a deal breaker. Got a local SIM card anyway.

      Good deal

It's an unproductive ripoff like all privatised utilities.

There is not a single case of the private sector replacing government where the government has not been far cheaper and created far higher productivity.

    International destinations are: Canada,
mainland China, France, Hong Kong, India,

Saves someone making the effort as I just did lolz (s-pen such a life saver) and thanks OP and your welcome to copy and paste above in your posts description👍😁

I am counting 15 destinations can someone concur?

  • only for new customer? or good for renewal?

For ppl shopping in Woolie, check Woolworth 12 month plan.
10% off grocery every month most likely cover your plan cost

    • Thanks for that interesting too, my mum does the shopping so this 10% is it in the form of a voucher emailed once monthly or within rewards card applied once monthly just wondering, again thanks for the heads up 👍😁

      • Just give her your rewards card when she goes to shop.

      • Reward card need to be linked to the mobile plan. It gonna give you the 10% claim option when you scan the card.
Works similar to points that you earn.

        • there is a 30 day or something else waiting period though before one can access the monthly discount

      Link to woolies plan https://mobile.woolworths.com.au/plans/long-expiry-plans
Just be advised that Woolies mobile plans doesn't include International calls, which may be a requirement for many ppl like me.

      • It’s available as an add on for an additional charge

  • The woolworths plan is very good if you don't need international calls or texts. I don't have much need for that so I use an app like WhatsApp instead. The 2A2C in myv household all have the $150 100gb Woolworths 12 month plan which saves us about $25 a week in groceries so each plan makes about $11 profit a month. We just rotate the rewards cards each week. But if you want the international inclusions over the savings or don't so at Woolworths, the Colesb deal looks good.

    • Damn, never thought abt that. Transferring others to woolie. Cheers.

Note that Woolworths uses the Telstra wholesale network which will be better than Optus for some Ozbargainers. Worse for others.

Pls be aware, Coles mobile phone calls doesnt work properly on Iphone 12 and above

Reason being, there is no VoLTE (Voice over LTE) option available on Coles sim by Optus
whenever, you make or receive calls on iPhone 12 and above, Optus switches the network from 4G to 3G which interrupts the call quality. and majority of the time I cant hear other person with frequent call drops

in Iphone 12 and above there is no option to fix your mobile network to 3G too

Im facing similar issue with my brand new Iphone 12 purchased from Apple store in Sydney

Apple confirmed, that VoLTE option is pushed by carrier to iPhones

Coles technical team said, "If your phone is incompatible I apologise this is not something we can resolve on our end. We apologise for any inconvenience caused"

Im stuck with a new sim with 365 days expiry :(

As of now, I have switched off my mobile data and just using my phone for voice calls only

    • This sucks. Can you request a refund?

      • Im chasing them for a refund, so far no luck

This same problem happened to me
Have been using boost, belong, telstra and kogan without issues.
Now on stuck on this plan for a whole year and already seen more calls dropped, robot sounds and just weird noises that seem straight out of the grudge movie in one month than the past two years on Telstra.
      I wish I can get a refund 🙁
      P. S. Also on iPhone 12

    • Thank you for this info. Appreciate your and HunterBargain's advice. Was considering switching to Coles Mobiles. Not now. It would be a massive disaster for unsuspecting iPhone owners.

    • I’ve used the Coles service on my iPhone 12 then iPhone 13 without any issues. If you require VoLTE then are you in a marginal coverage area?

      • I live in Sydney metro where I get full 4G data network on my coles mobile however, it switches back to 3G whenever I receive or make phone calls

LTE is nothing but 4G/4G+/H+ etc.
        VoLTE is voice over 4G

Coles mobile technical team have confirmed that their voice calls don’t work over 4G hence, the signals switches back to 3G

If you live in 3G only coverage area then you won’t have issues on iPhone 12 or above models as there won’t be any network switching during the voice calls

    • Will this work with iPhone se 2020?

  • Can this be used to renew existing Coles Mobile SIM?

    • No

But you can buy the boost sim deal, port to boost, and then after 28 days or something port number back to coles

  • It's showing as $150. Is the deal expired?

  • Can anyone confirm whether their packaging said 120Gb? Mine only says $150, otherwise looks just like the one in the BAM link by the OP.

    • All good, I can confirm the package doesn't need to say 120Gb.

  • Hi everyone, I don't always comment but has anyone having issue calling international calls? I am so tired with their customer service! "If you still have a fault, you should dial 1832 or *32 before the number they want to call. This is due to Anonymous/private calls being blocked at present." Always send this repeated email.
