    Thanks jimojr

Does anyone happen to know if there's other batteries that work with Yard Force eco system?

Big effort to pump a few times on a $12 Bunnings manual sprayer!! This will block up just the same…

    • +2

Yeah I don't know about if we should be making it any easier to spray chemicals around a yard. Maybe if you are taking care of a cricket pitch but at home?

      • +2

Yep, Roundup, the ever popular "safe" herbicide glyphosate is now banned in about 20 countries and soon will be banned for residential use in the USA and Germany as a probable carcinogen.
Meanwhile it's available with your other groceries in Aussie supermarkets…

        • 360 does the job, nice and cheap too!

          • @8200: what is 360? what's the difference from Roundup?

            • +2

              @wrx5: Nothing.

360 refers to the grams per litre amount of chemical (glyphosate).

              You can buy 100, 360, 450 etc

              Standard Zero is 360g/L

              • @XXRydeR: can we buy just glyphosate?

            • @wrx5: OR Hortico.

        • Whats a good alternative to get rid of weeds?

I have the Ozito one from Bunnings, only down side when it gets to about 1L left in the tank doesn't seem to create enough pressure.
Even used it to spray my whole roof with mould remover, made it so easy.

An issue with all pressure sprayers.

  • thanks

Literally just ordered the Ozito 7.5L for $99. Wonder which is better hmm

    • +3

That's the one I have, 4L tank would be too small. 7.5L tank only just does my whole yard and it's a pretty small block.
I'd stick with the Ozito especially if you have a lot of other Ozito stuff.

      • +1

7.5L tank only just does my whole yard and it's a pretty small block.

Can't you turn down the spray rate, and mix your chemicals a bit stronger?

        • Depends what you are using it for really. If you mix weed killer too strong there is a chance it won't work at all.

          • @Davbar24: That's about the dose delivered per sq.m., not the amount of water added with it.

            • @bargaino: Thanks my dad in law used to tell me if used too much it would become fertilizer haha.

      • Lol well I'm actually intending to try using it for my car… try spraying car shampoo and also the Bowden's happy ending sealant. I'm too lazy to keep unscrewing the high pressure hose to attach the foamer.

But thanks - will keep the larger Ozito and see how we go!

have the OZITO 3.5Litre one - amazing unit, thinking of getting the 7.5L to cover more area in one go so atlas, you have definitely made the right choice.

P.S. looks like the 7.5 litre OZITO has better pressure options as well so win win for you

Dont forget guys, sprayer is one of those tools which can be really frustrating if not upto the mark. I would say the OZITO kit is totally worth the extra $$ in this case. That yard king looks like cheap plastic

      • Thanks for the insight!

Dont go the 7.5L unit if you have the 3.5L ozito unit. The smaller ozito is much better than the larger ozito. I have had both. I have also had the Ryobi and currently have the AEG Backpack unit.
The 3.5l ozito and the 7.5l ozito are both different units.
With the 3.5l there must be pressure switch that stops pumping and is silent once the pressure in the wand builds up to a certain amount so it silent if your not spraying. The 7.5l just keeps pumping no matter what. Once you stop spraying the pump will just keep whirring away.
Also the 3.5l seemed like a stronger pump for me.
So keep keep the 3.5l over the 7.5l.
I personally also like it better as its lighter and not as heavy. I just make 5l of stuff in another container and then top up the ozito with the mixed stuff as required.

        • How does the Ozito compare to the Ryobi?

          • +1

@TheContact: The Ryobi is like the 7.5l ozito. So IMO the 3.5l ozito is still better than the ryobi. Which really surprised me. The Ryobi had better spray than the 7.5l ozito, but the 3.5l trumps them both.

        • Thanks for the tips. Interestingly the 3.5L is rated for lower pressure 35psi vs 50psi of the 7L unit, but I guess in reality that's probably not a huge difference.

Might try and source the 3.5L instead!

  • ordered one, thanks OP.
4L tank might be a bit small, but will give it a go anyway

    • I dont Trust the clip on tank system.

Now just need to have a bigger tank 3d printed and good to go lol.

  • I'm still waiting for a Yard Force 40V deal so I have a battery to use in the chainsaw I bought…

  • +1

Same, every week I check if there is any Yard Force 40V battery deal. That is why I found this deal.

    • Thanks for keeping us updated as I too am waiting for the chainsaw battery.

    • Great minds… do you know when the new prices/catalogue comes out for Mitre 10?

  • how heavy is this when filled up and how long, roughly, does the battery last?

  • Silly question, can we use this one to spray concrete sealler?
