  • Price in title… Also highlight it is "Tempered Glass Window" which isn't popular compared to the mesh airflow.

Yeah the airflow is definitely better but this is still quite good for the price. I'm just waiting for the black airflow to go on sale

The Airflow also has a "Tempered Glass Window"

The difference is the front panel.

Perhaps I should have said "non airflow".

$99 - Non air flow model. Would recommend the air flow model.
One of my fav cases to do builds in last year. Well made. If you can get the Airflow model for that, great deal.

If you don't care about the looks, you can just remove the front metal plate entirely, there is a dust filter underneath https://www.thefpsreview.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/1W8A…

    • fair point, this would make it functionally identical to the airflow, shame the dust it collects is a bit of an eyesore

  • I paid my “airflow” thru Amazon $139, the only diff between them it’s the front shield,

I have the airflow version, it's brilliant.

    • one question, I saw some reviews about front dust filter, which it eventually sticks with fan and makes static noise.
      Hows yours?

      • I've not had this issue. The dust filter attached magnetically on the sides so the mesh itself has a small gap.

        • I think he's referring to the mesh being stretched over time.

I can definitely see mine stretched a bit towards the fan, but no problem so fat. Not sure if it will ever touch the fan.

That being said, I have only had my 5000D for 4 months.

          • @juns: Ah yes I see what you mean. Mine has certainly done that after 8 months. I don't think it's a big issue on the airflow performance though.

            • @Clear: Thanks. I have kraken z63 and corsair vengeance rt rams. Not sure if this aio fits on top

              • @Dalgona456: The Kraken Z63 will fit fine up the top as it's designed for 120mm or 140mm fans. It's only if you were using a 3 fan AIO that you'd have to mount on front, like I currently do.

RAM clearance should be no issue either.

                • @Clear: Yeah might have to dig up more info on ram clearance with 280 rad on top

                  • @Dalgona456: I think you'd be fine.

                    • @Clear: Thanks mate, Just bought the case and moved all my rig from Fractal Design meshify s2 to Corsair 4000D AF Black (I like the tinted window)

Well, the 280 Radiator on top was just able to install. Corsair RT Ram was bit tall but I was able to just sneak in and its all good.
Cable management, I can say this is much better than Meshify S2. 4000D has more spaces or Gap I should say on the back which makes easier cable management. I'm using ATX size PSU and still have enough space for all the cables.

Dust filter at the front, should be ok but its bit quite flutter. Will see after few months of use.

I've just ordered 4 QL120 and 2 QL140 fans to match up with this case ;)

Back after all the stuff installed : https://imgur.com/a/XvIsXZJ (I didn't t tidy up yet)
                      Front: https://imgur.com/a/aWcJXfE

      • Nope no issues here

i think you mean non-airflow for the scorptec one?

  • I have the the same case. If you are dead set to put a front 360 AiO with outlet/inlet down, really check for clearances carefully. Or get the 5000D instead!

    • I did it but it had to go upside down and was the slimline EVGA unit. I found it hard to tune and my GPU was suffering so swapped for a monster noctua d15 which I've found much better. It is an airflow case Afterall!

  • Funny how rare are micro ATX cases. I got sleek InWin 301C, perfect size no space wasted.

    • I have been holding out for a micro ATX version… should be called the 3000D Airflow.

  • WHATEVER THE PRICE THIS IS THE BEST CASE/TOWER IVE EVER OWNED and i've built hundreds and hundreds of PCs over the last 35+ years!

build, space, cabling and inclusions… all top notch. USB-C front with the new adaptor, check (get a mb that has it too, you wont regret it)

I put a 360 AIO cooler in the front, perfection, could have put a 720 (2x140) or mounted on top… QUALITY and trust me, you wont get better for less!

After YEARS of building PCs into Thermaltakes and the like with the inc PSU for $60-80 this was a revelation… Looks as good as a mates $400 case IMO

    • i ended up buying a black airflow one for ~$80 from amazon warehouse (used), cant wait to work with it (hopefully it is in good condition otherwise i'll have to return and fork out an extra ~$40 and just get a brand new one)
