    Is mediatek better these days? I got burned my first purchase mediatek in the past, then never looked at the mediatek chipset mobile again.

      They've certainly come a long way and their Dimensity chips are good since many offer 5G for a low price point. Though the 810 is an older one as there's now 900 and 1000 series.

        I have waited for clarification from the OzBargain Forum - Mobile - Under $400 Android phone for custom rom.
        Peteru suggested purchasing the Global Version not EU. Also he believes the X3 Pro is a better phone.
        Currently X3 Pro is more $ better processor but lessor screen trade off, if you can get one.
        At time of writing I have not purchased, I do believe Dragon-X can supply the Global Version.
