    Sorry guys, don't mean to have this post up as clickbait. Just wanted to share the deal in case anyone wanted to try to get the giftcard - though probably someone with a lot of luck. I have tried reporting to moderator but they have deemed that 16 cashback giftcard availabilities is deemed as sufficient quantity for the deal and thus have informed me that this will be kept as a deal and not a competition.

      The worst case would be not any bonus for the 5th purchaser and after without any notification. In other words, it may generate hundreds (if not thousands) of sales each hour and only suffer 4 net losses.

        I figured with the delay in SMS it was always a lottery to begin with.
        A better idea for this "competition" I think would have been 444 drops. Buy a $10 Shopback card and get a chance to win $4 or $0.40. With the amount they are spending on this comp they could have had 400 drops of $4 and 44 drops of $0.40. And would have given away the same amount of money but 90% of people would be happy instead of the 99% of ppl that think its a joke. Just a thought…and it works with their "number 4" idea🤔
        But who am I to judge, I'm not qualified and this is why the marketing team get the big bucks😉😁

          Perhaps, there might be a hold process for them to verify? I think the design of the competition is fine. It just the fan base is extremely large as its on offer for all of Shopback AU. It might be in fact designed around sweepstakes and lottery regulations.

    Are they load testing the app? Checking to see if they are hammered by traffic, how much can they take in those 1-2 minutes without crashing. That’s the only explanation I see for a lame deal(competition) like this.
