    Be careful - I signed up for the Shopback “compare club” deals a few days ago but when I submitted the missing transaction request, I was told they could not track down my transaction. Funny enough - I then got an email saying it’s tracked but with $0 cashback when it should have been $150…. You have to be careful when using shopback when the cashback amount is big as they would find ways to deny it

      Recently a family member bought boost $30 kit, SB didnt track the CB. But the thing is my family member is a dumbass herself, she cannot be bother to do a missing CB report. instead she starts to launch at me, that i am disturbing her.
      I mean whatever, there is no world for goodness honestly.

        I've never had a report come out in my favor anyway. SB will just send standard "vendor is not paying Cashback so we can't". I use SB a lot but wary of buying anything I'm not willing to pay full price for.

        But a question, GYB - I’m genuinely interested:

        Last time (the $15 card) there were legitimate complaints with people who qualified then encountered unclickable banners and/or payment errors.

        You agreed in response it would be better to do 6000 smaller rewards than repeat the same schmozzle. I’m a long-time SB/GYB fan but unless something’s changed at your end isn’t this likely to be just as frustrating to those that legitimately get in first?

        I might get negged for asking - it is what it is. In truth I’ll probably not attempt this time and wish everybody good (fair) luck.

          A valid question mate!

          My previous comments were in regards to our Black Friday Gift Card Giveaway, noting that perhaps a smaller denomination/higher quantity would be better value for the community as more people will recieve one.

          I may not have made it clear at the time, but this comment was specifically referring to the Black Friday Giveaways we run each year.
          This is because of the changes we see in budgets around that time of year.
          More people shopping = money to spend (ShopBack Birthday/EOFY/Black Friday/Christmas).

          Outside of these sale periods, our budgets remain at a reasonable level & needs to be spread consistently across allocated times.

          We always want to give out freebies & run great rates/deals, but we don't always have the massive budgets to support these promos for the masses.
          So we'll run promos like this from time to time so our customers are consistently rewarded.
          It might not be a single promo with 10,000 redemptions, but we run smaller ones that would add up to that over time.

          As this promo isn't on a mega date, I don't anticipate the Gift Cards to sell out in a matter of seconds as they did on Black Friday.
          But knowing my luck, I may be back here in a few days eating my words.

          I will note that the changes we've made to this promotion (in comparison to Black Friday) is that anyone who misses out on the gift card will be entered into the draw to win $314 Cashback, so even if you miss the free Gift Card, you get some potential value out of the promo.

            @gotyourback: I've read and re-read the rules, but wasn't sure about one thing: If you're lucky enough to win the $5, does that mean you're NOT in the draw to win the $314 (i.e. either/or)?
            The wording makes it seem like only those who didn't win the $5 cashback will be put into the draw, but shouldn't it be that everyone who buys will be in?

              Only those who miss out will be entered.

              I believe the team are just trying to keep things fair in that regard.
