    Granted, I eventually got one… after I made about 12 attempts with Oops INTERNAL SERVER ERROR and Purchase could not be completed popping up every time, until the final attempt when it finally went through.

    Couldn't purchase it, I was on the page as soon as it ticked over to 3:14pm, swiped to do the payment and it was stuck on the loading circle. No 3D Secure or SMS code was required, it was just Shopback crashing. Incredibly disappointing.

    Once it did finally go through (took multiple attempts, with/without paying with cashback balance) it says I wasn't one of the first 1,000.

    I have screenshots of the issue as well :/

      @gotyourback No fault against you of course, but Shopback has to consider if spending $5,000 + payment processing fees, is worth the reputation damage when your payment systems collapse causing thousands of people (who pay at 3:14 on the dot) to miss out due to app faults.

      It doesn’t ‘cost’ you anything. You’ll still get the cashback. Only difference is that you don’t get a giftcard.

          I beg to disagree. You have not lost the $5 at all, just its liquidity for a period of time until you are able to withdraw it from your SB account.

          However, whether by intention or not, SB has been deceptive in the way this deal / competition was run (IMHO).

            Please do not, I think I am wrong, I hope i am wrong for all you legends.

            I have found in the very recent 100% CB past deals @ shopback too if you join at exact start time you wont get anything. Instead you only get the award at like 1-2 minutes after the start time. For me payment failed like 5 times dude. Because there is simply too much traffic dude. I dont understand why Shopback could not make it easier for users, i.e. Let users know ASAP that 1000 user limit is past. Hence only entry draw now.
            But then again hopefully someone (outside of the SB internal team/their collogues) will actually gain $314 in Cashback instead of $5 (assuming SB is not lying in that, that person will be the one who gained most from the competition).

    Tried about 8 times, kept getting server busy issues and after all the tries I finally got through

    edit: Used cashback on my account and card payment on my partner's. Both got a gift card in Purchases. Immediately swapped them to Amazon now in case the voucher decides to disappear or invalidate itself or something

    I would suggest that Shopback don't run these comps if their technology is not up to it.

      I also think shopback should NOT plan this kind of competitions if their servers are NOT scaled and ready to handle the high traffic and deliver without server request errors.

      Only a few requests went through obviously between 3:14pm and 3:18pm (base on my own experience and user comments) and most of them were killed because of heavy traffic that cannot be handled by shopback servers.
      These request errors result is very bad user experience (10+ tries to purchase voucher) and unfair selection when you manage to get one of available vouchers by chance.
      I addition to that, when you finally get one, you think you've done it because you receive confirmation email and you can see voucher in app but then realise you've got nothing when you open voucher a bit later (sold out, hahaha) creating even more confusion, frustration and hate at some point like I have been scammed which is not completely wrong considering final result because of technical issues and confusing execution!

    Wow! I actually got one, I must've tried about 35x continually getting a message to try again, I was going to give up but at about 3.18pm I got a text to input a verification code. Only $5 but I'll take it :)
    I've given up on the past after about 10 tries assuming there was none left so keep that in mind for future offers like this.
    I used my ShopBack credit not sure if that made a difference although I did have a card pre-linked (Bundll) so I assume it would've worked either way.

        Scratch that, they took $5 and I have a pending $5 cashback but when I look at my purchases all I have is an entry to win a gift card??? Pretty dodgy taking $5 off me without giving the gift card even if the cashback is pending??? I didn't agree to lend SB $5 until my cashback cleared? I charge 100% per day btw remember I told you at the same time you told me about taking my $5 regardless of if I win a $5 card or not, Scumbags!

    Only for it to actually be an “entry” and a $5 loan to ShopBack.

    Definitely think they should revert back to the previous “sold out” if you are unsuccessful.

    I got one, Mrs got one as well. $5 tracked for both of us and $5 charged from our accounts but when we go to the purchase section to redeem the swap card we get message: 'Oops you were not one of the first 1000'

    my feedback: please do not do this kind of double promo. just do one 100% cashback for 1000 account then make it sold out.
    next day you can run competition or what ever.

      Yeah. Totally agree with this. I didnt think you can purchase the gift card after the 1000 allocated, but it still goes through to enter in a draw that you don't want. I don't mind that I didnt get the 100% cashback with working gift card but if I had known that you can still purchase gift card after sold out I wouldn't have bothered at all.
