    ordered the 10000mah model…..

When on sale, Zyron is likely the cheapest PD power bank you can find on market but…..

So far I have not has good experience with Zyron (and others too).

1 Cygnett Wireless 10000mah, started expanding 6 months ago, one USB port stop working. Wireless still works.
2 ROMOSS used about a year start expanding this week.
3 First Zyron 20K I got was DOA. Go through a week of emails and they eventually agree to send out a replacement. The replacement worked for a while then the indicator lights die, charging circuitry still works but now I have no way telling if its fully charge / how many I used.

    Fingers cross for this time….

I have a Tronsmart 20000mah PBank bulge last year, nearly four years old. Still works but a hazard so am getting it disposed/recyled

      • I had the same problem with the same Tronsmart. Only used a few times.

        • same, took it in the car a few times (never left it there all day in the heat) and mostly used indoors and well cared for
Was a $35 item discounted to $25 in Amazon. Product no longer listed there, maybe due to defects or end of life.
Deal page, sorry its 10400mah not 20

          • +1

@payton: I had the same tronsmart and it just stopped working one day.

I did reach out to the rep as it was under warranty and they gave me $10 partial refund

Tells me these 5yr warranty are more a marketing exercise in some cases

    • +2

Your experience w ith Zyron is quite telling.

      • Well, you get what you pay for. Most unknown brands (Zyron, Kogan….) with PD starts at round $20, this is excluding the Aliexp and Ebay junk! Try those at you own risk.

Then the more well known ones goes nearly $40 for 10000mah. As yo can tell from my reply, bigger brands doesn't mean they are better0

      I have
      - 1 X Xiaomi 10k still working well after 8yrs
      - 3 x Romoss 26k, 2 are 3yrs, repeatedly dropped by kids, one has usb-c port pushed in (suspect it was dropped and landed on usb-c cable connected), .most used daily, working like new.
      - 2 x Zyron 20k had since Jan, dropped numerous times used daily by the kids. Working like new.

Mine are used for charging iPads, and various phones. They're charged overnight or until full and removed from charging (like any Li-Ion device should because I don't trust the charging cutoff circuits).

    • +2

      I have a Xiaomi powerbank 3 pro 20k.
Going strong after 6+ years. Used daily and charging multiple devices. Has 2 USB C and one USB A exits and a very simple rudimentary 0-4 dots charge meter.
Got it on a sale for 30ish $.
Maybe give Xiaomi a try. This is just one subjective experience but my unit was pretty sturdy and good quality.

  • Thanks OP got the 10k powerbank and the cable hope its good!

So looks like Zyron launched on Kickstarter March last last year. Their website according to internet archive started around February this year. ABN registered Feb 2021.

It's quite a young business. Appears they may just be branded from an OEM. Not necessarily a bad thing in itself but at the price point they are definitely not delivering the same quality as Anker, Xiaomi etc. Syswong's experience is concerning.

If I wanted something reliable I would be looking elsewhere.

If Rep is around I'd like to know who their battery supplier is, and what the rated efficiency is of charging.

    • +7

You are right, we currently provide OEM products as we only started 1 year ago. Our Power banks are manufactured by GOLF who also manufactures for other well known Australian brands. Our chargers by factories of Baseus and Hyper Juice. I am sure that the ratio of good experience with our power banks is 9/10. These were our first 2 power banks and now we are working to bring in new power banks to compete with the likes of Anker! We will only be using branded batteries like LG/Panasonic/Samsung.

      • We will only be using branded batteries like LG/Panasonic/Samsung.

future tense, so are these not the current set of batteries you are using in the Powerbanks listed on this deal?

        • Currently we use A grade polymer batteries with 500+ cycles capacity. Now we are upgrading pur range with new and far better Powerbanks that will have branded batteries from one of the brands mentioned above. They won’t be in this price range though.

          • +2

@ibelievesyd: "A Grade" is puffery and misleading.

Any quality cell should have some testing documentation with discharge curves etc.

I am not sensing transparency with the cell manufacturer. op Feel free to provide more info.

              @aoeueoa: http://www.cvatop.com.cn/en/

That’s the battery brand mate. I can send you the battery specs as well later this evening as we are working on the extensive volume of orders

    • +2

      It's quite a young business

And? Every business was once young. Many grow old & decrepit (IBM, MS, HP, etc).

Appears they may just be branded from an OEM. Not necessarily a bad thing in itself but at the price point they are definitely not delivering the same quality as Anker, Xiaomi etc.

What do you base that on?

If I wanted something reliable I would be looking elsewhere.

What do you base that on? Do you own any of their products? I do, mine get a daily hiding and have survived 3mths so far of fairly abusive use (by young kids).

Easy to bag the new boy in the block.
At least they're not drop shipping OEM products with just their name on the cardboard box, They're devices are self-branded and shipped from Oz, which means you get Australian warranty & the legal backing that entails.

      Syswong's experience is concerning

syswong is one person. so that's not really something to base an opinion on. A display not working isn't as bad as the swelling they got in the Romoss. That would be concerning.

Now charging a mandatory $4.99 express shipping fee. No deal

    • I only got charged $23 delivered I am in Adelaide

    • Same here. When I add the coupon code I can no longer select standard shipping.

I got the cable with free shipping though. Looks like a configuration error.

    • There shouldn't be any charge mate. Let me check

    • +1

Please try again. Should work now

      • Thanks working now.

    • I got free shipping in sydney

  • Thanks got Got the 20000mah power bank let’s see how good this is

  • +1

    20000mah sold out?

    • Yeah. Checkout got stopped.

    • Yep. :-(

    • Yes mate. 20000mah sold out

      • Rep, have you guys got any shorter usb c cables on sale?

  • Thanks. Got 4 cables.
I still have my power bank from when you first started. Still going strong.

    Good luck

  • OP, is there much point in charging devices with 100W 5A cable using 66W Powerpod & 65W Powastone charger?

I mean the maximum capacity that Powerpod & Powastone can deliver is 66W and 65W respectively therefore the 100W cable will be under utilised?

    • +1

That is correct but our 100W cables are quite strong and should last 2 years or more. So, it will be handy for your future upgrades :)

      • mate, you are so helpful and so responsive with all of our questions; just so you know that I bought your powerpod and will definitely make a purchase of your powastone birthday deal.

    • The cable rating is more of a quality rating.
With normal wear & tear youigjt lose say 20% (due to degradation).a 100w cable might slip to 75-80w, where as a 60w cable might slip to 45-50w.

Of course a crappy cable might degrade quickly.

I am very happy with my previous interactions and picked up 3x 10000mah banks for phone, VR and vehicle.

They are slim and fast. Reminds me of my love life but the 10000mah powerbank gets plugged in and used lot more with better reviews

  • +2

Thanks OP. Appreciate your transparency above in regards to your products also.

  • 10000mah battery now also sold out.

    @ibelievesyd
Is there a fix for the site failure?
I've tried multiple browsers as well as VPN and fail to load both the direct link as well as the main domain.
Seems to be happening to multiple users, but not everyone.

    • Mate we are trying to resolve that issue with Shopify tech team. For now, please try to clear your cache and see if you can access. Kindly let us know if it worked.

  • cmon put the 120w gan on sale reeee!

    • +2

65W Powastone and 120W Powastone will have a deal tomorrow but both are 45 units in stock only so first come first. We'll have backorder option with dispatch ETA 05th May.

      • any chance for more powerbank & cable deal?

        • Power banks are all sold out mate unfortunately. Cable we'll make available on Amazon for $6.99 shortly

          • @ibelievesyd: on the hunt for powerbank for quite a while :(
            thanks anyway :)

      • What time will they go on sale?

  • +1

Any chance of restocking powerbanks soon?

    • +5

Unfortunately not mate. We are working on new power banks to match the levels of Anker.

      • +3

Hopefully you'll be working on an OzB exclusive launch seal too??? 😁

  • +1

The Powerpod Pro 108W photo show model number is ZY-WC-90W, and Total power: 90W max

Are we really getting 108W out of it simultaneously?

    • Yes mate, when you connect 2 laptops and an 18W phone, you get 45W+45W+18W

I have personally tested it with my 2 65W power laptops and iPhone X. They charge at 45W each and 18W.

I had also tested it with a USB meter. When 1C1A are connected, the power available on the 3rd C port is 45W.

Our Deskpod 156W works on the same principle. More efficient then it is certified for.

Important factor is actually the devices that you connect and how much power they draw. If your 1 laptop draws 60W then you won’t get 108W output.

  • I'm trying to get the 100W cable but the discount code isn't working. Any ideas? @ibelievesyd

  • Anyone know how long it takes for orders to be fulfilled? I ordered a cable on the 17th but it's still unfulfilled.

  • just got mine in the mail, lights up but doesnt work?

nevermind had to push the usb c all the way in until it clicks

    :)

also idk about you but the 10kmah feels really hollow, the battery is placed on the bottom of the housing. Feels weird thats all..
