  • Will this charge a phone with a micro USB port if I use a micro C adapted?

    • +1

Of course! Just like a normal power bank, only with the rare type-c port

  • Does this come with the Benson Leung approved USB type A to type C cable? as listed here https://www.amazon.com/Tronsmart-Resistor-ChromeBook-Google-…

    • Maybe. Read the item description;

"What You Get: Tronsmart Quick Charge 3.0 10400mAh power bank, 30cm USB-C to USB-A cable, welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty and friendly customer service."

      • +2

Confirming that there is a cable provided or that the cables provided are the same specifications are not the same. Maybe.

  • Thanks! I got one! :D The reviews looks great!

  • Is this Powerbank safe and durable? Just wondering before purchasing that's all

    • +1

Tronsmart products rate pretty highly over here so I'd say so

    • +1

Had for a year, still best I've ever used or seen. Want another one for no reason

    • Only one example, but the USB A port in mine no longer works.
      Broke inside 3 months.

  • So will it charge my Nexus 6P at max speed?

    • +1

      Yes.

    • I have a Nexus 6P, this does not charge it at max speed. It does charge my Pixel C and iPhone at max speed.

      • +1

this does not charge it at max speed

This should charge a Nexus 6P at max speed as it can output 5V/3A, which is what the stock charging adaptor outputs. You may be using a faulty cable or have a cable which can not handle charging currents up to 3A.

        Output (Type-C Port): DC 5V 3.0A Max

        • I'm using the cable that came with the Tronsmart, I persume that is built to handle 3A

      • +1

Charged my 6p at full speed when I had a 6p.

  • Are there any good power banks out there with wireless charging capability?

    • No, because wireless charging is a heat generating gimmick.

    • Sure is. Here is one example from Kogan, a Laser 6000mAh wireless capable for $29 + delivery.

      https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/laser-6000mah-power-bank-qi-wir…

      • Thankyou - but anything not Laser/Kogan? :)

        • Haha, Harvey Norman also had these if that helps with credibility lol.

I have a decent double digit collection of power banks, and I have to say non are Laser, although a few cheap ones ( only paid clearance prices ) Target home brand power banks are holding out ok for now one year on.

    • +1

Nokia made a couple back in the day. Not sure how availability is now though

  • Good deal - if I didn't already own a number of other USB-C power packs I would have grabbed one of these

  • Thanks Op.. got one for the switch :)

    • +6

      No PD

      • +1

        No power delivery?

        • +2

          Pupillary Distance. Damn optometrists!

      • I keep clicking these deals hoping for a powerbank that supports it but I can never find anything. You have any recommendations for the switch?

        • +1

The Xiaomi ZMI 10 20,000mAh supports PD and has frequently appeared here for around $50

  • Good deal guys! Amazon US is for us$26!

  • +1

Does this powerbank have two way quick charging? Eg, Quick charging the power-bank itself?

    • +2

Yes. Quick charge the PB using type-c cable/charger

  • +1

Can this powerbank recharge itself and another device at the same time?

  • Got one. Thanks

  • Try to purchase one of this but there no PayPal option… is it normal I am new to amazon

    • +1

Yeah Amazon doesn't support PayPal. They do have good returns/refunds policy though.

  • +1

Finally my first item purchased in Amazon AU
    Thanks OP!

  • Suitable for iphone 6s? Or overkill?

  • Cheap enough to add it to my collection of power banks

  • +2

how about a deal for the Xiaomi ZMI power bank?

  • missed out!!

    • Back in stock!

      • Now I have to consider spending $23 that I've been looking to spend all day on OzBargain but haven't actually prepared to do it :(

  • mine says

"The promotional code you entered has already been redeemed."

    • +2

oh wait nvm.. been applied but it comes up as a credit balance.

  • +1

    Back in stock

  • +2

Worked fine for me just now, thanks OP!

    • +1

same, that was tense! was expecting it to fail at the last step!

  • Looks good but why does shipping take so long?

    Estimated delivery: Dec 29, 2017 - Jan 16, 2018

    • +1

      Sent from China

      • Ah that sucks.

Where does it say that on Amazon ( for my future reference)

        • +1

I bought other item with express shipping and they were sent by DHL from China.

And this one is "ships from and sold by Tronsmart-AU" not fulfilled by Amazon (local stock)

        • @r0xz: ah right.

          Cheers

        • @r0xz: how is sent from china considered "local stock"?

        • -1

@Matslurpee: if it's fulfilled by Amazon, it will be sent from the local Amazon warehouse, but if it's fulfilled by the seller, it will depend on the seller itself, and in this case they're coming from China warehouse.

  • Here's a good video review for you all.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRP10TC3MM4

    • That's for a discontinued model so there are a few differences.

  • +1

Why no love for HTC 10?

    • Like the HTC 10, this power bank has a Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 port so it's compatible.

  • Great deal, recommended by The Wirecutter

  • +3

I have had this powerbank for a year (got it from CableGeek last xmas) and at this price it's an absolute steal. There are very very few good quality powerbanks like this that can be quickly charged up by USB-C to USB-C cable and then used to rapidly charge my Nexus 5X. Does not get too hot at all, solid construction with non-fingerprint marking plastic and has 4 indicator lights for capacity. Only shame is this unit no longer includes the thick, quality, short (hard to find!!) USB-C to USB-C cable.

  • sigh…

    one more extra power bank!

  • +1

I wonder if this will charge my Nintendo Switch..

    edit: Yes it will!

  • Gerrys going to need this to start his heart after he shits and pisses himself after all these Amazon deals
TA we need to get Amazon on board with cashrewards bro, pull your finger out.

    • posting here = you're preaching to the converted
better off personally stalking and confronting Gerry in person, that'll take the load off your mind!

    • I can't see amazon jumping on the cash Rewards bus.

  • Does anyone perhaps know how can I find out which courier will deliver? I cannot accept parcels at home so I prefer sending it to Aus post parcel lockers… :(

  • Bought one, Impulse buy! hahah need one for travels >.>

  • Caved in and bought one, thanks OP, great deal!

  • +2

    Grabbed one too.
Now just need a code for their usb c 33w car charger!

  • When I open the link it says $34.99, then when I add to cart it increases to $39.99 then the $12 comes off this with the code making the total $27.99 with free shipping. Am I doing something wrong?

    • +1

(Sorta) same… The link has $39.99 for me, and then drops to $27.99 after applying the code.

  • Will this quick charge the new Pixel 2 and 2 XL?

  • The price went up now to $39.99.

  • -3
    • Cheapest price is now $27.99 delivered, but the standard delivery is terrible. 17 days to deliver a product is a bit much…
  • I didn't realise price went up when I was checking out! There goes 4 bucks. Oh well, still a good deal I guess. Thanks for posting.

    • Yep, we are all paying $3.50 more for it now ( thought OP forgot to put price in AU$ instead of US$ lol.

Still decent price I me thinks and grabbed one to add to the collection ( I often gift them to family & friends, but not this one for a while haha ).

  • +2

Form factor looks terrible. Too thick. Id rather the thinness of a Xiaomi

    • Own both. This is better imo

    • i respect the girth

  • Good for Galaxy S8 charging?

  • Just slightly off topic - is there a way to get access to the AU Amazon site through the regular iOS/Android app?

    • +1

yes, there's a flag/button to change region on the android app's menu

  • +1

I was going to purchase but now its gone up ill pass.

  • Was gonna buy too bad code expired;

  • Mine arrived yesterday, great shipping time!

    • Delivered by AusPost?

      • +1

        Fastway Couriers

  • +2

Received today, cheers. Form factor is good, fits in the hand nicely.

    https://imgur.com/804oB7i

  • Received mine today, wasn't aware of the addition of a sleeve, so that was nice to see. Cheers OP

  • Received mine today too!

  • Damn, you guys got your ones so quick! I'm still waiting for mine to arrive.

  • Mine is returned to sender. Apparently they put incorrect suburb & postcode which is 250km away!

    Is the sender 'PCA Express'?

    • PCA is the local handler before they were passed to Auspost. Maybe worth giving them a call https://www.pcaexpress.com.au

      • Thanks. They can't do anything until they get the parcel back from AusPost. Oh well.

    • Same here, it had wrong address on it.

      • Did you receive it in the end?
