Special Terms
The cashback offer will be paid to the Cashrewards member if the customer is approved for a new American Express Essential Card. Cashback will be paid to your Cashrewards account after 95 days of being approved for your new Essential Card.

You must have an active Cashrewards account to which the cashback can be deposited.

Your transaction will track once your application is submitted and approved.

To be eligible for this product you must:

Have annual income of $40,000 or more.
Have no history of bad debt or payment default.
Be aged 18 years or over.

    I agree, also given the fact that amex isn't accepted at most places other than big name stores, (like coles/woolworths/ampol/bp/etc.)

    Main card should be a visa/mastercard. But amex is handy to have for the special offers like these.

    And keep in mind Amex did used to offer $300 Cashback for this same card just a little while ago, (as a referral for some small people only)

  I applied for this offer about 1.5 weeks ago with this Cashrewards deal, however I didn't get a tracking email so had to submit a claim manually. Not sure if it is common for Amex deals through Cashrewards though.

  Thought it was a good offer combined with the $200 back.
