[QLD, PS4] Death Stranding $5 @ Target (Garden City)

850

Saw this yesterday. Bought one with no dramas, plenty of stock left too.

Can anyone confirm if any other stores are running the same promotion or just garden city?

Enjoy :)

    what a journey - from $70 to $40 to $15 and now $5

      This isn't the directors cut.

      • +9

Because Target definitely discriminates on these factors

Cos it's a shit game. Honestly one of the most boringly frustrating things of all time

    The first strand type sale

  • Wishful thinking from me please Amazon price match

    • I don't think they match clearances like this

    • Can't price match if Target doesn't have the item listed on their website.

Thought I might like into this deal but then checked the game on Amazon and was told I purchased the game in Dec 2020… 🤦🏻 An all too-common occurrence.

Garden City Perth or garden City the other state

    • +5

Queensland, it's in the title :)

If you could turn off the inane in game music this might be worth the $5. Unlikely, but possible.

Sell to CEX, probably make a few $ or instore credits, they buy for $10 and instore cr is $13

Lol I like target. Selling at dirt cheap price for no reason. They can "clearance" Valhalla at $9, make everywhere oos. Couple weeks later. Selling at $49 with new stock.

  • Not worth for time

  • +2

I heard the price is free if you get to that Target from your home, by walking, and carrying a baby.

Fyi this will likely come with the new PlayStation Plus Extra sub

    • +3

So $5 now or $25/m for eternity

      • Math checks out

I loved this game so much!

    • +1

Not sure who downvoted your comment or why. Does someone out there not believe that you love this game? Maybe they have some secret inside info that can prove that you actually hated it but are lying and saying you loved it because you're part of a mysterious conspiracy to sell more $5 copies of Death Stranding?

      • +1

If people don't like it then that's just too bad.

If I had those cheap copies available nearby I'd get 5 of them to give away as gifts to friends who just got their ps5.

From what I've seen, most of my friends who loved it sunk over 60 hours into the game on average. The few ones who didn't like it stopped within 2 hours.

Either way, wouldn't hurt to try.

    • You aren't alone. I enjoyed the peaceful change of pace trekking around the land listening to a good sound track. I still listen to the sound track now.

Walking Simulator. I sold the game after less than 2 hours of playing.

  • 4 copies left on shelf

  • +3

$15 to Director's Cut on PS5, effectively making it $20, well worth it for the controller features and 60 FPS if you ask me

  • Is this bargin at any other target stores in other states? Wonder if it will trade in for more at eb

  • +2

I'd buy this game over and over….its that good!

    • +1

someone said it's a boring walking simulator

      • +1

It is NOT a walking simulator or Fedex missions like any other games. I finished the game on ps4 and I really enjoyed it.

You basically have to go from point A to B true, but your environment is the real challenge here. There is multiple way to achieve your mission by exploring, interacting with your environment and building infrastructures/equipments/vehicules step by step with help of resources you collect along the way and help of other players too.

It is different than any other game and a unique adventure and experience. The story and message is also very good. I can understand why some people dislike it because it is very slow, boring and not fun at the beginning. It is an investment from the player at the beginning but it is part of the experience (don't give up) and everything is really going better and better and enjoyable the more you play, learn, build new stuff and share with other players. It is the concept and it will completly make sense once you reach the end of the game/experience that is awesome! I really recommend it if you like adventure solo game, mystery and are looking for new experiences!
