    this thing runs on hydrogen?

    • +27

No, but the NB Marketing dept seems to run on hot air

  • +4

Perfect for my sons school shoes. Thanks!

    • +2

      Thanks OP
With inflation coming its good to stock up for the future.
Same here, its hard to find 4e size width, so bought two pairs, one had steel cap leather, both are all black as per school requirements

    • -5

      School?
I'm grateful my kids' school does not allow logos on shoes. Uniforms save a lot of money.

      • +1

Good like finding good quality, no-brand shoes.

        • -4

Err.. "no visible logo" does not equal no brand. Sports shoes are not the same as school or business shoes. Do your work shoes have external branding? If so, you may be a bogan. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Quality clothing has the branding hidden on the label.

  • +5

Thanks OP, currently using these for regular runs and very happy with them. Paid $120 for my existing pair, so pretty pleased to be picking up another for less than half that price.

    • +1

Hey would you mind sharing whether the shoe will last? How much do you run and is there noticeable wear and tear?

      • +3

I'm not a long distance runner, but do 6km maybe 4 times a week. Been using them I would say maybe five or six months and holding up very well. I've always found new balance shoes to be comfortable and durable. In contrast I really didn't like the only ASICS runners I've had.

    • +1

Your comment convinced me to buy at this price.

  • Are these true to size? I'm normally a 10 in Ultraboosts

    • +2

      TTS.

      • +1

Are you sure? 10.5 in Ultraboost is 27.6cm length, whereas in New Balance a 9.5 is 27.5cm.

        • +2

Well UBs are known to fit small.

        • Ultraboosts usually run a bit small imo. At least mine are about 1/2 size bigger than my usual.

  • +2

Thanks Op. Worth noting that you shouldn't use this coupon code if you are stacking with the Shopback $5 bonus + 4%.

  • +1

The women's version which looks just the same is about $55 before code

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/384775803633

    • They let you select your width on that page too. Original page has an error where you select your length twice but no width option.

    • +2

See link in OP. $52.55 delivered.
      Good spot about width selection

    • I assume it's women's sizing?

  • +10

There Hierro trail shoes for $71 are a bargain too

    • +2

cheers mate, $68 after discount, absolute steal!

    • Link?

    • +3

      *their

    • +2

Brilliant. I was looking at these yesterday in NB sale for $165, getting for this price is incredible

    • If only it was available in another colour :(

      • +1

        The green looks great IMO

      • -1

I saw it in stock for black/blue yesterday but hesitated, no I’m regretting my life

      • I too mulled over the colour too long, now gone :(

    • Thanks! Ordered them via a previous deal a few days ago. Grabbed them again using this new deal price and will return the others as soon as they arrive 🙂

    • Mine just arrived and fit perfectly. Thanks for the heads-up!

      • How are they. Is the color nice. Mine will arrive tomorrow

  • Will these shoes improve my 4km running times? I fatigue usually by the first km

    • +1

Try an app that can help improve your run time and distance
      I did a 9 week program to run 5km in 27 mins

Called "Just Run Zero to 5K" free on play store, I'm sure there's equivalents in the apple store.

    • Who knows! Good cushioned shoes though.
As said before, better training will increase your stamina.

      • I ran 10k in a pair of Propel V1 this morning. They're not a light shoe, but they're soft and good for training. I bought a pair of V3 today so I think they're ok.

  • +3

New Balance ebay is having a sale, has ran a few days some stuff will be OOS.

    • +1

      Lots of shoes on sale!

      • +1

        Soo many!

  • +4

    That RRP is a joke

    • They seem to sell for between $150 to $170 at other stores

  • I assume V3 is a newer model and on sale too? They have shitloads on sale tbh!

    • +1

      Yep, I'd grab the V3

  • +2

Ouch paid FuelCell Prism v2 for $82 and it is currently on the way. So no cancelling for that.

Now it can be grabbed for $59. Should I just buy another one and return the other?

    • +1

I'm thinking this too, bought the Hiero v6 for $81 the other day

      • Count yourself lucky. I've got a pair of Hierro V6 on order for $165. Unfortunately not available in my size on eBay :-/

        • Ah! Shit mate 🙈

        • :-(

        • the GTX blacks were on sale but sold out for $80 or so

          • @[Deactivated]: Damn.. Would have gotten the GTXs but happy with the regular v6 too.

            • @smknbdha: Me too lol

Only because the colour, not sure the difference in the shoes

I already got the hiking Ultraboost shoes I got for $90 on sale

As someone mentioned we don't know how many sold, could of been 10 or 400 lol

Late to the party, alot of the nB shoes aren't good looking
Maybe classic looking but not for me

    • What's the process of returning? They will give us a replied paid label? Or do we pay the postage and claim it later?

      • I think so, eBay says seller pays postage

        • I just noticed that return is free for eBay plus member. So I'll make another order.

      • +2

If you used PayPal free return (reimbursed)

    • Can you share the link? I cannot find it thanks

  • What are the best running shoes currently available? I don't run 🤣

I need some shoes for my mum too, mainly for walking!

    • +1

Depending on where you walk, running shoes could be your best bet. If it is all tarmac/pavement then running shoes like this are good for cushioning impact. If you’re off-road or trail walking, get dedicated shoes or boots.

    • +10

I use to work in retail 10+ years ago selling sports shoes.
I did at one point got my mum a pair of walking shoes. They were Asics. Asics made a walking version of one of their runners.
Running and walking differ from where the foot hits and leaves the ground so the shoe catered for this. The front toe cover was also leather covered vs mesh of the runner.
I was a runner at the time and after 5-700km of running my runners got turned to walking around shoes and they were fine for that as they still had enough cushion for the lower impact of walking.
But runners don't offer much side support trying to save weight and assume your moving on a level and stable surface.
That's why trail runners are substantially heavier.
So if your mum is walking in wet areas or uneven ground then then get something a little more sturdy then a runner.
But for $50 it's tempting to just try your luck.

      • +1

Yeah, she'll just be on roads etc

  • They look like they would be very slippery on even a mildly wet surface.

    • The surfaces in Sydney have been very wet the last few months and I've not had any problems running in these shoes. I agree they do look like they might not be good in the wet though.

      MYGOV

Love it. Does the ATO, Medicare & Centrelink endorse these?

      • +6

These are required to work in the sector…

    • +4

I bet you have to have proof of vaccination to wear these

    • +1

      MYGOV v2

      MVYGOV2

    • Any experience with these ones? I have wide feet, so like that it's offered in 2E width, but the sole doesn't look as soft as FuelCell or Fresh Foam.

  • +1

thanks grabbed a pair of v3's

  • +1

Thanks OP, first time I’m able to buy a completely black shoe. Yay

  • +2

New Balance FuelCell Rebel v2 women's for $65 is good price, none left in men's though.

  • Thanks OP. Picked the 500 Classic for ~$40 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/384597582331

  • Can't decide between FuelCell Propel RMX v2 and Vaygo v2.

Love the FuelCelln foam, but Vaygo is available in 2E.. any recommendations?

  • White ones look great in my opinion, and available in US Size 13 too.

Hopefully can debut these $55.34 shoes in my overseas trip.

    • +1

Love the look of white shoes.. but hate cleaning them

      • Black car; white shoes.

        Any deals on cleaning products?

  • Black is OOS

  • +1

I was thinking of not buying any more shoes for a few months and then saw this deal.
just ordered a pair… Thanks OP.

  • +1

Was looking for some Cross trainers ,hard to find this days! NB is the only one still doing them, the old fashion once…. the 624 for $120 or the 857 v2 for $200. Got some 857 v2 for $62 in white. Thanks OP

  • +2

If you're after a pair of everyday street wear, 997H is available for $51 - 54.

    Black, Black/Grey & Red/Black, Black/White & Grey/Navy

Note that the toe box is narrow, so not suited for wider feet.

  • +1

hi all, im overweight, flat feet, and as a result tend to get pain around my arch area (which is flat) after prolonged walk
is this shoe suitable? cant really tell how the cushioning are for all the shoes being mentioned here

    • -3

If overweight then you will squash the cushion and it will be of no use

    • Sounds like you need orthotics.

  • +1

Thanks op grabbed me a pair for $57

  • +1

Thanks OP. Bought a pair of tempo and prism.

  • Why dont they have .5 sizes on their listings. My wife is 25.5 cm (nike flyknit) which should be new balance 8.5. Wondering if i should pick an 8 or 9. Their official website have in between sizes. But they are not priced like here

    • +2

They probably sold out of that size on eBay. They sold out of 11.5 while I was browsing other shoes in their catalogue. The size disappears as an option (it doesn't 'grey out').

  • Anyone aware if they have any flat, or almost flat soled shoes which would be suitable for lawn bowls?

  • Are these any good for people with flat feet please?

    • +1

My son has flat feet and wide feet.
He takes a size width 4e and only likes this brand.

    • Depends on your feet.
I have flat feet, but I wear neutral runners.

Are your arches fallen or naturally flat? Do supportive shoes hurt your feet like mine?

I had the V1 versions of these and had no problems. I run regularly too, so I put them to the test.
