Syntronik 2 VST Plugins Group Buy US$49.99 (~A$70) - Buy 1 Plugin, Get up to 32 Plugins Free @ IK Multimedia

50

Off the back of the pervious 25th Anniversary group purchase last year, IK Multimedia have launched a new offer on their Syntronik 2 product.

Syntronik 2 is a software synth which emulates iconic vintage synthesizers. A list of the available synths with audio demos can be found here : https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/syntronik2/index.php?p…

The deal is you purchase one of the qualifying products from the range and get a number of others for free. As of 25 April, it's Buy 1, get 6 free - this will increase during the deal. The more who participate, the more free products that will be introduced - up to 32 free products. If you purchase now, the additional free slots will become available on your account so there's no need to wait until the deal ramps up later in the month. Just remember to redeem them before the valid period ends.

The product is listed in US Dollars and Euros, so you might be charged foreign transaction fees by your bank.

Please note that this is a a software synth. You will ideally need an external MIDI keyboard to get the best out of this. The Syntronik 2 platform can be used standalone, but would be better within a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) such a Logic, FL Studio, Ableton, etc. Software is 64-bit only, and runs on Windows or Mac (M1 native)

There is also a limited free version of Syntronik CS available, for those not wishing to take the plunge quite yet.

Edit - Offer extended until 31 May 2022

I have Syntronik CS. I am just trying to login to the IK Product Manager, and now on the password roundabout. Arrrgghhh!

  • The Hammond B3X is great. Then I upgraded to a M1 Macbook Pro, then whenever I loaded Mainstage the file crashed. I had to create all new patches from scratch and I discovered it was the Hammond Patch. I even reformatted and started again. I used Rosetta. I contacted IK, who were useless. I asked about getting a refund. No response. I am hesitant to buy this in case there are any issues.

Everyone says Apple is so simple and easy to use…..

    • Apple have pros and cons, but part of everyone saying they're so easy to use, is because that's the marketing that Apple puts out and it just gets repeated… Often by people that haven't even used them 🤣

I had more hassles with Apple personally and back on Windows now and I've sat on the sidelines watching all the compatibility issues that people on Mac have been having luckily..

It was the same when Apple changed to Intel.. they just expect all the developers to keep updating and don't worry about backward compatibility. Even Rosetta is only temporary and will be dropped.

Both PC and Mac are fine for audio though, so it's just whatever anyone prefers.

IK's support does often suck.. at least the first couple of replies just tell you to try things you've already said you've done..

Hammond is very nice though, so hope you eventually get it working well!

      • I also built a dual boot system using an AMD Ryzen, and it runs fine.

I've had replies asking for version numbers etc

Currently on my M1, it doesn't crash loading Mainstage. It just says failed validation (as well as 2 other plugins). I'll try downloading the latest version.

The Plugin by itself seems to work okay (and sounds great).

        • Latest versions with IK can be a blessing and a curse.. I've had them break stuff, but given the situation you're in, then that sounds like the way to go.
