G'day all

Saw this deal on SE and thought it might be a good deal for some. Personally, I am still not sure I should go with AMD or Intel from my 8-year old PC(Xeon E3-1270 v2).

The free delivery code should be added automatically if only combo deals in your shopping cart, looks like the free shipping code only works with combo deals. So if you add something is not a combo deal, the shipping fee will be added back.

1% surcharge for select payment methods. I tried to choose Paypal as payment method and the surcharge shows as $5.93 for me, save you 2 mins to do the same to find out the surcharge :)

Also found this combo deal i5-12600K+MSI PRO Z690-A WIFI for $629.1 delivered + surcharge. This board has WiFi, however, it appears to support DDR5 only, again, might be useful for some people.

  • Grabbed the B660 mortar bundle for $545 yday and kinda regret not getting this one even just for the iGPU

Hmm, in case you don't know, B660 doesn't support OC….so if the CPU is K/KF, it kinda defeat the purpose getting a K/KF?

Thats what i thought too but K skus in the 12600s have 4 extra e(?) Cores which im hoping will help with music production/recording

        • +1

E cores are efficiency, so they're relatively slow cores that can be used for light workloads to free up the P (performance) cores.

Note the DDR4 version has the same price in another link.

I got the WiFi version, and bought a MSI A850GF later from Centrecom

So two MSI products can participate their MSI ANZ promotion and get US$50 steam card, then MSI Shoutout promotion for another US$40 to post reviews for that two products.

    • Good find!

I couldn't see the DDR4 WiFi deal last night, might be due to my sleepiness :)

Regarding the Steam credit, correct me if I am wrong, I believe it needs to be 2 selected MSI products in the same transaction and cooling is not part of the selected products?

Yeah I saw that term too but I have successfully claimed it, total value approx. AU$126

        • I got what you meant now.

I purchased a Forge 100R earlier this month and I registered it just now. So it appears I need to have 2 registered product at least to be able to start the claim? As it says I have "No products eligible for redemption"?

BTW, Forge 100R is one of the eligible product for the claim.

  • What Intel i5-12600K/Wifi combo should I get for a budget max $450-$500?

    • +1

      Does it exist?

  • Any RAM recommendations to suit?

  • I was waiting for SE to have another 10% day.

Alerts went off early yesterday morning & scored the Aorus combo - A little bit cheaper than this.
    Worth looking into.

    Woohoo for SE!
