From the picture, looks like this is hard wired (requires an electrician)
I don't know what's standards are these days, but I'd assume that most downlights come with a plug and are no longer are hard wired (esp newer homes). This one seems to require wiring and hence an electrician to install.
Yes, my 2016 house definitely comes with an AU plug, I wonder whether this is a new regulation thing?
A quick look and I couldnt see the CRI …anyone see any details?
Without knowing the CRI I personally wouldn't buy for myself

When these blow out they're a pain to replace. Have to access roof cavity and replug new into junction box, then plaster the gaps…but these designs seem to be all that's available now for downlights. A lot of work just to replace a damn lightbulb!
That is a bloody lot of work, no wonder username checks out!
I have these- I just unplugged them from the socket in the ceiling and plugged in the new one.

Can't see much of a deal here. Presumably these are the 7 watt ones. How many lumens? Is the cutout the standard 92mm? Are they IC-4 rated (i.e. can insulation lay on top of them)?.
You need the hub for these to work, and then having to wire them rather than plug in. Uggh.
Instead of getting them from overseas, why not buy locally. Smart downlights that are brighter and cheaper, come with a plug and don't require a hub. Arlec Grid Connect 9W are $18.50 at Bunnings. There are others.

I can highly recommend the Mercator Ikuu range. Zigbee (or wifi if you want to save a couple of $), 9w, IC-4 rated (for the downlight - unsure about the transformer), 92mm cutout, and a reasonable price - compared to Hue.
Not quiet in the same league as Hue, but at the same time, Ikuu are full colour, and for the ~$30 price difference these are perfectly usable.

@cplagz: I'm actually not sure. TBH I use them mainly outside - where I'm not as fussed by the colour tones.
