    kmart $59.

Shared this with my wife and being called stupid after she checked kmart.

    • +2

From memory the kmart one has a lower Max weight rating..

    • +6

Just call her a b and be done conversing for a week.

Have a look at at the width of the wheels on the Kmart one… ours snapped within weeks.. the narrow wheels are a poor design… this is much better quality and will last longer…

      • Their newer model has wider wheels fwiw

    • +1

      Keeper. She's good with money.

have a look at the two - the kmart one looks a lot flimsier.

this one seems equivalent to bcf's wanderer cart

    • More comparable to the $79 wheels

    • No. Massive difference.

    • -2

      Kmart is cheap china junk

    • "My stupidest decision was marrying you, darling"

(They love the darling on the end)

  • Are the wheels on this OK for footpaths and roads or will they get chewed up?

    • Fine, we use it to go to the park down the road, about 800m, every week, plus to the beach etc wehn that happens, no visible wear signs after a couple of years

  • Wheel is bigger in Rebel than the one from kmart, some difference in the outside skeleton. 4.9 rating in kmart compare to 4.8 in Rebel. 529 reviews the item in kmart. Any ozbargainer have experience with the rebel one having a bigger wheel?

    • +1

I've owned one for the past two years and the wheels have held up fine with a mix of footpath and sand usage. From my research it looked like this the same as the wanderer beach cart

      • So the one you owned is the kmart one?

        • +1

Bought the Tawhahi cart…looked more rugged than the kmart one

  • is this worth extra $20 for a canopy and extra basket

    https://www.anacondastores.com/water-sports/beach-surf/beach…

    • This looks like the Kmart $79 one

      • At original prices the Kmart premium is ok if moving things at the park but once similar priced not comparable. It’s 50kg rated for Kmart vs 100kg for the bcf / bcf and can notice quality of build. Yes I have rebel so am biased but only since have friends with all the Kmart varieties and huge difference in quality. Anyone comparing the cheaper thin wheeled Kmart cart as an equivalent has no idea. Head to the beach and watch anyone with that one struggle hard.

    • Depends how long you’re in it for… we went with the one posted here, for trips from car to beach etc, usually short(ish… Sydney beaches…). Toddler wears long sleeves + hat, and this one folds up smaller and is easier to use. YMMV, but that was our assessment

  • No click & collect stock in WA.

  • I reckon this is similar to the Wanderer rugged sold at BCF and Macpac but is red. I have the BCF one and it has been good so far. Wheels are plastic but with a strip of treaded rubber in the middle which I guess protects the wheels from wear and tear and also provides some cushioning. Quite manoeuvrable.

I had Wanderer blue one earlier with the rubber wheels which was a better concept but I ended up returning it twice as the wheels started locking in after a few uses.

No trouble so far with the red one.

Haven't used on sand but have seen people using it on beaches. Soft sand will not suit a loaded cart which I guess will be the case for any type/brand out there.

    • Pretty sure it's the same… Rebel, BCF and Macpac are owned by the same company Super Retail Group and Tawhahi like Wanderer is one of their in-house brands

      • Apart from the colour and logo they are all exactly the same. Buy from where ever you like the colour or most convenient

  • +1

I got the kmart 79 one. Pretty happy with it

    • +1

Same, but the sand in the wheels makes it SUPER squeaky. Nothing a ton of WD40 can’t fix.

  • +1

This is a bargain - I paid $10 more a few years back. It works pretty well on sand, and can carry a 25kg and 15kg child back to the car afte ra day at the beach if required.

It's a big upgrade for going to the beach (compared to no cart), carries a lot, and packs up pretty well to fit in the back of the car. For crabbing / fishing off the jetty also very useful.

    • Thank you, that's why i recommend family to buy one for their kids, very versatile offroad :)

  • +1

when we carry kids, the middle handlebar will hit the finger if they put on the frame at the front, a pool noodle resolved this problem.

    i paid $89 back 2 years

  • Picked this up at the last deal for about $75 and has been great. Wheels are big enough to get through sand pretty easily, though if its REALLY soft/deep sand and you've decent weight you will need to put some effort into it. But otherwise no complaints, better than trying to carry all the stuff in my arms

  • Have the kmart premium version. The bearings arent sealed for sand and seems a design flaw to me (especially in super fine sand). Dont know if all the others are the same..suspect they probably are.

  • +1

    Thanks for sharing, OP

    • All good mate :)

I can't find many good deals atm

  • -4

$25 delivery fee to VIC, the kmart one only cost me $89, not a deal

  • None available for click and collect. Delivery is 24$

    • Odd. I just click and collected mine. (Qld)

  • -2

This one from bcf has a lower weight capacity of 80kg but with membership to the bcf club (free) you get it for $90 reduced from $170. The reviews seem good. Delivery is 15 bucks, no stock available in Perth for click and collect.

    https://www.bcf.com.au/p/wanderer-rugged-cart-beach-wagon/57…

    • Don’t ever look at the prices without membership. The actual regular price is the price with membership. BCF/anaconda etc just want to make it look like they are giving you a huge discount and collect your data while they’re at it.

    • Not sure if you posted the correct link but The weight rating in both is 100kg per the specs listed n each site. They are the exact same carts from bcf / rebel / macpac apart from the colour and logo

  • Thanks!
This price with my 10% off from giftcard + 2.5% cashback (not confirmed yet about cashback). ;)

  • I can't say how this would hold up long term as we've only used it once. But this is pretty sturdy and as a bonus it folds up. The base is thinnish wood though, but you could make it thicker it if you needed to:

    • thin wheels = very bad on sand.

I have the Rebel one with the wide wheels and even on soft sand and a full load, it's easier to just get 2 to lift the whole thing and carry it.

  • Can't find stock in VIC. Anyone else have any luck?

  • Had anyone used this in the airport (serious question)?

  • I got this one last year at same price and compared it with Kmart's one. everything in it is much better and stronger. wheels are larger and thicker, cloth is stronger by much.

the only neg is that the arm got only 1 adjustment only, other than that it is really strong.

  • Was tempting to buy this for a recent camping trip but ended up buying the anaconda one for $10 less. Very happy with it on the sand. It is a bit longer than the rebel one as well. https://www.anacondastores.com/water-sports/beach-surf/beach…

    • Thanks for the review. Got the anaconda one for myself. For anyone interested you can use "WELCOME10" for an additional $10 off.

  • seen a few parents dragging their toddlers around the shopping center recently with these. not sure if it's a good or bad thing, just seemed a bit odd when I saw it. From memory one of them had a canopy/cover thing which seems like it might be alright for the beach.

    • do you think they bought it because i posted the deal here?
