  • How much is the FTW3? Still $300 over msrp?

    • Reviews suggest there isnt a much notable difference between the two besides the rgb. Although previous generation ftw3 had much bigger performance gaps

Just better cooling more or less and thermals, am an owner of the FTW 3 version

      • Also, the FTW is 3x8-pin, where as the XC3 ultra is 2x8-pin but is much shorter card. I have the XC3 ultra.

      • The reviews I've seen noted the XC3 is actually low tier and not mid tier. Which I found surprising for an evga card.

      Selling 100 more at BPC

This isnt a higher tier card than the Gigabyte Eagle. In fact, it's probably one of the least adequately cooled 3080s going around…

    • its in par with eagle than ventus, get the FTW 3 one for 'premium' cooling, better for gaming and mining.

its almost 2 slot card, very thin cooling, 3080 needs at least 3 slots to be safe…

shows a tier below eagle oc but also everyone here seems to shit on gigabyte too. I thought evga were decent but each card design seems to be different.

    • Don't forget the Gigabyte RTX 3080 Turbo is another option, the price is similar.

Blower style is better for small cases including mATX since the hot air blows out the back rather than inside your case. I have one of these cards and recommend it. I upgraded from a MSI 2070 Gaming Z, and the Gigabyte blower card is actually quieter under load than the MSI 2070. When not under load, blower style cards are noisier "at rest", but for me that is a non-issue.

  • finally, someone else besides that briefcase guy who kept posting gpu deal lol…

    • +1

I'll try harder next time pappi

      • +1

did you neg me? lol, or was it the briefcase guy lol…

        • +2

          Nah I don't neg unless it's JV

          • @Jazza2400: hahahahaha lol…must be that buffalo wing nutjob…

        • Firstly, I didn't neg you and I'll keep posting more GPU deals ;)

          • @Briefcase Mong: hahahahaha lol, just joking…waiting for you to post 3080 10Gb for $995…going to buy 10 of those…

            • @[Deactivated]: Same here. Its been sitting at 1250 - 1300 for awhile maybe we might see 1200 first ?

              • @Briefcase Mong: $1195 milestone, then $1095 then finally $995.

It was $1139 once long time ago and peeps had to wait 2 months to get it delivered.

  • This is finally close to the RRP now for 3rd party 3080s. If you can wait longer, these will be on discounts soon for sure just like RTX 3060s right now.

  • Got this card on release, great card, does run a bit hot, but not to the point of thermal throttling. For gaming it runs like a dream. This price is close to the original msrp so its a good price imho

    • is it loud as well? like the chicks next door?

      • If fans goes over >80% you'll hear it, under normal load its barely noticeable (i have it under my desk)

        • that's the same with giga gaming oc and ventus at >80%. but what's the vram temp? that's more important.

          • @[Deactivated]: from my experience vram temp is about 102 degrees under load, mod drops it to about 95

            • @Johnny L: no good, all my vrams hit 94-96c max, never 100 or above. without mod.

              what games hits 102c?

              • @[Deactivated]: Don't quote me, but from memory it was RDR2 running on 4k. Also Cyberpunk although it was poorly optimized at the time. Did stress testing when i'm getting bencmarks etc.

            • @Johnny L: Thats odd.

I've got mine in a SFF case and have never seen temps that high. I undervolted mine anyway. Low 80's at lower fan speed and higher clocks. Optimum tech has a great video on it.

              • @Justin Powell: I think what you're referring to is normal temperature for the whole card, mine never goes over 80c under load. For VRAM temp specifically it goes around 94c and beyond, you can check with monitoring softwares like GPUz

  • 12GB at this price lets go

  • If you buy from BPC, pickup only. If you can not pick up, do not order from them.

I ordered "Samsung 980 Pro 1TB with HeatSink" from them on 17th April 2022, and order ship on 20th April 2022, and then no update at all from both BPC and Aramex, where about was my parcel been, until 5th May 2022. Emailing, and calling them no result. Now, on 5th May 2022, Aramex Tracking said, "Return to Sender", so they unable to complete the delivery, and return to BPC, but BPC still don't want to refund it to me until they receive the parcel back, even though clearly in the tracking Aramex said they return it to Sender, I'm not stealing it.

This is very bad service, very disappointed with both BPC and Aramex, and will not likely shop at BPC anymore.

Yep, Aramax is for companies that are happy to keep sending out replacement units to their customers, because I'm pretty sure Aramax delivers it to you by kicking it along the road. If they don't just give up and chuck it in a bin along the way. After a few bad experiences, now if I know a company uses Aramax, they don't get my order.

      • Aramex are horrible. Pretty sure this was raised in one of their pre-built PC posts. A BPC rep said they cna look into getting other couriers for things such as PC or have an option to pay more.

  • Damn it, wanted this exact model now OOS

    • I'm looking at the vision for $10 more.
Better cooling, being white might resell better,a bit unique.

  • its $1379, the deal has expired.
