So what's the discount? Why is this a bargain and not spam?

Slow hdd, non-gaming cpu, outdated gpu for the price tag of $1500, could easily get a laptop with a decent SDD and better graphics. 12gb of slow cheap ram that belongs to be in the matrix. No way close for value then the recent HP laptop sales on ozbargains.

  • If you can find cheaper please advice

So you are just spamming then ??? This is not an advertising website…

      Read the posting rules…

      1. Summarise briefly why it is a bargain - why did you buy it or consider it worth sharing? How does the price compare to elsewhere?

The onus is on you to justify your post, not the readers… we just vote…

This is the cheapest on the web if you can find better and want to buy this product e-mail [email protected] and the better price will be taken into account if not beaten. Postage will also be taken into account. Thank you and happy saving.

That's why you'd consider an SDD drive for a price of $1500.. and between 5400 & 7200 heat dispersion is minimal, difference is like 1-10watts?. The Gpu is the main heat source.. why not put an amd radeon 7850 instead of a gtx560 if you are evaluating heat.

Ummm lol? i have 2 7200 on my laptop. I've seen 3 with no problems

      • I have 1, so glad it uses a 7200RPM drive too, else USB 3.0 on the laptop would be redundant.
        Rep making stupid excuses LOL

  • guys.. Found this one cheaper on ebay, http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Asus-G53SX-Laptop-15-6-FULL-H…

I guess you heard about this guy selling about the refurbish laptop or whatsoever, but they had a great service. I bought my ASUS g74 from them last month and was happy with the purchase. btw, this one comes with manufacture warranty!! I guess, this is pretty good deal, even though the processor is a bit slower.

      I LOL'd! :)

    • Not the same Unit

  • I remember there was a deal a few months back for the Asus G74 for around $1600…so this is definitely not a good deal at all (ditto it was an old deal but still…)

  • Why is this a deal?

  • Sounds like spam to me…

No Bargain here! spam advertising!! Seems dodgy site… no phone contact written on site (although can find out easily :P ), do a search on ABN find website up for only 5 months & no GST registeration…? How can any warranties be honored without GST on a tax invoice… Site creation date: 2011-11-26 till Expiration 2012-11-26, seems not looking for long business!

  • Please keep the comments on topic and if you don't feel the deal is good then give us some sort of explanation.

  • Centrecom is cheaper = not a bargin
