    • Whats the max zoom on this with the camera?

      • Through the main camera I can go to 10x zoom. Pretty sure it's all digital zoom as well.

        • ok cool thanks… Had to make sure saw 60x zoom on some youtube clip..

  • I collected this on Monday through JBSOLUTIONS and paid more. I have emailed them hoping for a credit for the difference.

From a user point of view - I had G4PLUS (now dead) and G8PLUS (still working). Phones have been good work horses and the karate chop torch is used almost everyday.

EDGE 30 is a smooth operator and menus glide. Sound is good and the 144mhz screen is lovely to view. The only issue I had was that I thought it came with the folio case as on the Motorola website. I will order that when it becomes available.

Needs a screen protector as it doesn't come with a film on it either.

Same size as the G8plus but much lighter in the hand.

    Wireless charging aswell!

Just a note, I had a Motorola years ago and had an issue, support in Melbourne was horrible.

JB has pretty good warranty, shouldn't be a worry

I bought it from jb…. still had issues.

I had several Motorola in the past, a few G series ones, and a flagship
My dad is still using my 2014 Moto nexus 6 to this date, still rock solid after 7 years
quality depends on the model and series, just my experience

      • Yeah mine was a lower end model…

Such a shame it only has 128gb storage otherwise it'd be a great deal for the spec at this price point.

  • Don't really care about this phone since it has overheating chipset.
However, looking forward to Motorola Edge 30 Ultra instead since it has newer snapdragon chipset (8 Gen 1 Plus) made by TSMC which is much much better at performance and handling heat

  • How bad is this 'overheating' issue? Does it just throttle? Does it stop the phone working completely? How often is this going to occur, I dont plan to game but wireless AA alot?

    • Using it for a few days now (bought from TGG Commercial) and haven’t experienced any heating issue in day to day use.

      • Thanks, Now all i have to figure out is if the 6.7" size will fit in the wireless charging pad of my new car coming….

Like all android phones wait 6-8 months is the best time to buy.

1 consideration if you care, is that it has a plastic frame and not metal.

    • IMHO thats last thing I consider when buying a phone. I don’t remember when did I last time use a mobile without a case. People talk about plastic vs metal frames, but it hardly matters as literally first thing everyone does these days after buying a new phone is to put a protective case on it.

      • I care. Last phone I had a case on was just a bumper case on my nexus 4.

  • The price at JB Hifi has gone back to $999. And Officeworks shows $799 but Out of Stock
