What does everyone think of the PlayStation 5 PS5 PULSE 3D Wireless Headset?
I'm slowly but surely buying my partner every official PS5 accessory deal that gets posted on here but that's still the one that I've yet to bite the bullet on.
Overall consensus from what I've read online has been pretty positive. I can't vouch for it personally though.
I haven't got one but looked into it fairly extensively; it's not the bees-knees, but for the money (and this was at RRP) it's great value, solid performer
Got mine for about $65 and I've been happy with it. For ~$100, I'd say it's still worth it. Probably one of the better wireless headsets in this price bracket.
Comfort and audio quality are subjective, but I was fine with both categories. The ease of use is really nice and the range was amazing.
My only gripe is that Tempest 3D Audio feels like a gimmick to me.

It's mediocre. Good enough for an official accessory but very mediocre in terms of audio.
It's the only headset that I integrates that much with PS5 though afaik i.e. software EQ, voice/chat balance etc. Also automatic output switching for whenever it's on/off
I really like them. I’m not a fan of the mic coming around the front of headphones. I would buy them again. I got mine for $99 a couple of months back.
Overall good for the money from my use.
They don't have the sound cancellation or as high quality bass as a good set of headphones, but they're reasonably comfortable, mics work, no noticeable lag, and I can't think of better wireless headphones for that price range.
However, I was plugging in an older set of Sony WH1000XM3's via cable direct to the controller when you don't need the microphone, and they sound a lot better. If you've got some good quality headphones already, that could be an option for you.
I have it and battery life is decent audio is decent and my wife approves the aesthetics matching the rest of the white and black theme of my ps5 so it should be ok
I have it and its great with noise cancellation however, long use can Form some pain due to pressure. This can differ as everyone has a different skull size. Also the ear cups aren't designed for long use. Mine started to fall apart after just over 12 months of use. The previous gen also had this issue. I think they do a great job with sound and ps5 integration however build quality is questionable. I'm considering turtle beach to replace them soon.
Absolutely fantastic on my PS5. 3D audio is great and it looks very nice imo. My only complaint might be that I wish the battery life were a little longer, but it does indeed last about 12 hours, that advertising is pretty accurate. Just… Don't buy it for PS4. It sounds really bad in games that don't support 3D Audio.
I was in the same boat too and was tempted to get one when it was $129 recently… but then I found out my Corsair Virtuoso RGB works wirelessly with my PS5 as well, and since they both use USB dongles anyway, there's less incentive to pick the Sony option over this (other than aesthetics and the virtual surround sound which I generally am not a fan of).

I thought the same. But I’ve got a 0 gen Switch - should be able to sell it for something in the $300s. Which makes change over almost a no brainer.

@The Captain: 100% worth keeping an OG switch. I haven't paid for a game for a couple years and get games before launch.
@The Captain: If you plan to hack it then yes keep it.
If you don't plan to AND you play mostly in handheld then it's worth the upgrade.
I upgraded to the OLED as I mainly play in handheld and can't be bothered hacking it and it feels way better imo. Better screen and better battery.

I thought the latest rumours is switch pro has been canned in favour of an "app new version" in late 2024ish.
Rumour said end of this year, but rumours are rumours. I'm not buying because OLED screen doesn't affect me much as I hook it to TV most of the time and I don't see buying again for just the OLED screen.
In a heartbeat I would buy a second Switch if they released an OLED Lite. Need the combo of low weight with the OLED otherwise it's just going to get docked to the TV
I’m the same but just landed a job that requires more travel on the train so I’m using that as an excuse to buy the OLED version 😂
I've never owned a Nintendo and the old was our first one. Kids love it! The screen is great and very nice with colours and visuals. However if you've had one before maybe might seem a small upgrade.
If it's your first like me… I say go for it. Otherwise stick to the one you've got if it is OK and wait for a future "better" model.

Nintendo has reiterated that the current Switch has four or five years left of life in it, which means a Switch 2 may not be necessary for some time to come.
Maybe the fabled “Switch Pro” rather than a next gen “Switch 2”. I’m not holding much hope of its existence but I can’t bring myself to buy a new Switch just for a nicer screen, even being a Nintendo fanboy

100% in the same boat. I really do want to play some of the third-party games, but I've seen how some of them run like hot garbage on the Switch.
