    Yes, was iiBorg with Internode and WestNet — then TPG bought iiNet.

    My view as to why the consolidation occurred was because of the huge number of POI (Points Of Interconnect) that become part of the NBN plan; had it remained at the low level, then we would surely have had much better competition. As it happened, it was a case of get big or go home and that's when ISPs started being eaten up more quickly.

  I activated this today.

  iiNet took 2 weeks to port my number from Circles.Life. Went through this morning.

  Continued to blame circles but turns out the issue was at iiNet's end.

  Three calls to customer support, each one saying they'll follow up with me… But didn't!

  Off to a rough start!

  Tried to port 2 numbers from Boost to iiNet on Monday. One went through in 5 minutes, the other failed and they say it might take a week. My Boost recharge ends today lol.

  Customer service is completely useless.

  If Internode's CS team is in AU then I'd recommend that over iiNet, even with the loss of pro-rata billing on exit.
