I went with Ikea purely for the ease of access to replacements.

These units emit a high pitch buzzing noise after a period of time. We have two and we'd joke it was two aliens talking to each other.

Or just open some windows and get fresh airflow through your house for free.

If you live next to a busy road, restaurant, etc., you will be introducing smoke particles and toxic gases into your house when you open the windows.

If you live in a windy location, you will get more dust in your house when you open the windows. Of course, dust is not a problem if you vacuum it up.

Xiaomi is the better unit but also twice the price.
Philips 1000 is also a good unit
