  • Is there still a three week wait on the SIMs?

    • +3

I’m still waiting for mine since 7/4, customer service clueless, no clue when my order will be dispatched

I’ve disputed the transaction and have received my money back. Never buying direct from Boost again

Edit: For reference, I bought it from this previous deal posted

      • As am I, however I was told if I get a $2 from a store they will apply the $30 credit

      • If one of those deals pop up again i will prob goto officeworks and get a pricematch.

        • They don't price match/beat Cash rewards deals.

It was $10CR for $9 sim

      • Yep negging, as I'm is 3 people who haven't received theirs since ordering in the first few days in April. After hassling them they promised a refund, but that hasn't eventuated yet.

    • Mine arrived in about 3 days. That was a $200 SIM though, from the Cashrewards deal.

      • +1

That $30 prepaid sim deal for $9 was popular that it went to back order. It was already on back order since CashRewards deal but Boost never advertise this on their website when the ShopBack deal was live

        • Mine arrived a month after ordering, they never sent out a email confirming they had shipped it out.

          • @Quarter Pounder: I checked my letterbox back home and nada still. Telstra complaint did offer me the choice of transferring the $30 prepaid onto the $2 sim but bc I bought it thru shopback, was worried if that’ll invalidate the $12 cashback

            • @BargainsGrabber: Might be lost in the mail. telstra has a weird glitch when ever i put my address into their website and it gives me a whole different address 1km down the road. Has this happened to you?

              • @Quarter Pounder: I’ve never had mail lost before. Maybe I’ll take up their $2 sim offer and let them credit the $30 prepaid equivalent onto the $2 sim

    • I had to wait a good 5 weeks for mine but it randomly arrived last week. I did contact boost customer service. Few weeks ago, who said buy a $2 sim and contact them to activate the service, including the $30 credit and additional data to cover the $2 sim cost which I thought was good of them.

  • Good for sim slutting, thanks OP.

  • Ported from belong to boost last month.
Within 5 mins my belong Sim was deactivated but there was an error in my porting process. Apparently an IT glitch. Was without my phone number for 13 days before the issue of my number being stuck in limbo was resolved. I had to get a new number as a result.
Will never go with boost/Telstra again.

    • I am having the same issue. It's been over 60 days.

I am able to receive calls on my boost prepaid with no credit remaining. When I contacted boost to port my number to another boost prepaid they agreed and started porting. Poof my number not to be found on their systems anymore but I am still receiving calls.

The tech people have no clue. Everytime I contacted them they raised a new incident and case numbers and I have to explain each time about my issue from the beginning.

      Any suggestions?

      • Launch a formal complaint with Telstra so you get assigned a case manager.
At least that way you won't have to explain your situation every time.

Apart from that. There is nothing. I got a refund for my actual mobile phone because I bought it outright on one of the Telstra day deals. (Galaxy s21 for $672).

But like i said. I now have a new number. I was able to receive calls only when using vowifi.

I suggest go to Telecoms ombudsman in your state or territory. Boost or whoever calls you. They chase you or they get fined if they don't fix the problem and you have cause.

    • Funny I had the same issue last year. Boost support was crap. I had to go-to TIO to get Telstra to help me out as Boost weren't allowed to talk.

  • This is a great deal. What a bargain!

Without upsized cashback, it is hardly a bargain. Click the product link to compare it with previous deals.

FYI, it is on sale often for $10 in the supermarket, without the waiting game as pointed out by many.

      • Indeed, it’s better to get it from the supermarket
The lack of knowledge on where your order is once placed is pits

  • +1

    No esim no buy

  • you can get it from woolworths. $10 for the 40gb boost prepaid kit

  • my sim took a month to arrive

  • Be prepared to wait..
Im Still waiting for my order from early April.
Neg is meant for Boost, not op.

    • +1

Yup i agree on the neg for boost, they don’t even send a email out saying it had shipped to me.
