A word of thanks

We started this family business 3 years ago as my snoring was causing issues in our 35+ year relationship. I was sleeping over 50% of the time in the spare room which was not what we wanted

After trying a few other options we turned to Breathe Right Nasal strips and they made a big difference. However, at $1 a strip it was expensive and I was doing silly things like trying to re-use strips for the 2nd night which generally didn't work.

    A quick google search about snoring :

    Snoring occurs when air flows past relaxed tissues, such as your tongue, soft palate and airway, as you breathe. The sagging tissues narrow your airway, causing these tissues to vibrate.

    OP, could you explain how using a nasal strip can solve this scientifically?

    People with snoring should rather get themselves tested using a sleep study and check if they have sleep apnoea.

    These strips are just a gimmick. Do you have any certification/study to prove that your product stops snoring?

      There are different levels and types of snoring and sleep apnoea will not be fixed with Nasal strips, medical advice should for sleep apnoea

      However, 80% of snorers suffer from the nasal congestion type of snoring and not the throat more severe sleep apnoea type

      My research suggested nasal strips do help nasal congestion type of snoring and speaking personally they help me.

      But don't take my word for it we have 750+ positive reviews on eBay (see link below) many of these are regular customers

      I've looked at this before and basically there is some evidence it reduces snoring but I don't think it is particularly effective for sleep apnoea

        +1. The studies can be hard to intepret.

        Basically branded strips at the chemist (https://www.breatheright.com.au/) are super expensive. So I appreciate your efforts to make it more affordable.

        Just a suggestion. I would try minimise advertising focussed on why people need nasal strips and simply say you are selling something which is way chaper than breathe right and equivalent.

          Yes, we started the business 3 years ago as I was paying $1 a strip for B.R and even trying to reuse them to save money
          While they worked well we thought we would try and match their quality and do it a lot cheaper.

          Well here we are, 3 years on and we are doing pretty well (can't retire yet haha)
          Our customers are saving heaps and many are returning regularly

          Our strips are around 18c each on bigger packs so yes that is a huge saving compared to $1.00 a strip

    Used something similar when traveling for work where the hotel air con or the dust makes it harder to breathe. (Esp during the smokier periods during the bushfires).

    I'm surprised there aren't more sustainable alternatives instead of single use (unless it's for travel) for those who would use this every day. The waste and cost would rack up.

    Been hearing about sleep a lot and snoring in podcasts and it's crazy that it affects so many people yet there aren't really any proper fixes.

      Probably 9/10 the problem is resolved if the individual loses 10kg.

      Source: talking out of my ass, it's just my observations when asking my patients about snoring (I'm not a sleep physician, I just happen to be dealing with part of the body where brief airway assessments are easily done and thus I can make recommendations for people to see a sleep physician and or ENT)

        If you are overweight then weight loss often reduces severity but doesn't fix the problem. (At least when it comes to sleep apnoea not sure about the specifics of just snoring)

        Also, people still have snoring and sleep related breathing problems who are not overweight.

        Not meaning to have a go at you, but if you work in healthcare/related industry you should probably not talk out of your ass.

        Interestingly it also seems to affect men who are healthy and either bodybuild or have muscle mass (could be thick necks etc) so it isn't just body fat that's the issue.

        Off the top of my head, it was the Joe Rogan podcast and Derek, YouTuber/fitness person who was talking about it.
        The other supposed cause is deviated septums but that's also very common.

        I lost 30KGs and didn't help my sleep apnea which sucked (currently 22yo and 95KGs).

        Definitely improved general quality of life though - being able to walk up stairs / run 30 metres to get the bus and not struggle to breathe afterwards is great! (lol)

        On a CPAP machine now after being diagnosed with severe sleep apnea 3 years ago. Hopefully it works 🤞🏽

      We have looked for more sustainable materials but at this stage, no one manufactures these.

      We do not send out Boxes anymore as we felt that was unnecessary packaging.
      We post out is Trackable Australia Post Envelopes that seem to protect the product very well.

    I don't have sleep apnoea and I'm not a chronic snorer but it really helps me when I'm sick and congested and I'm definitely sleeping better. Not for everyone probably, but worked for my use case.

    I agree they work for me and other solutions I looked at I found uncomfortable or invasive

    nasal strips at least are drug-free non-invasive and affordable

    I feel when you have a snoring issue you can go to bed and have a solution that helps your partner sleep a bit better and is a comfort and helps me relax a bit as I worry about her not sleeping

      We believe our strips hold as well as the market leader but that doesn’t seem to be the case for everyone.

      Please note that the clear strip is a bit less adhesive than the tan coloured ones as it’s designed for more sensitive skin and if you want the best holding strips you need to order the large tan or the medium strips

      I find if I clean my nose with a facial wipe before I apply the strip and I hold them down for 15 seconds that 99% of the time they will hold all night
      That is the case even with the clear strip

    These things are awesome. I used to go to bed with a congested nose every night, I use the large skin coloured ones and definitely feel it's easier to breath through my nose.
