      Disagree water pools when you open it and have to clean it by tipping it. Or wiping with cloth every use.

      For the price okay.

      But a cheap Kmart one would have a faster clean up.

      Also the top lid doesn't come off so cleaning is awkward

      It makes rice that is good enough. Would like a timer function but it does the job.

      Would say the pot is a bit thin but haven't seen other models

        depending on the rice you need to underfill the water, as this is weighted and can't expect it to be perfect at this price…

    I know OzB has a lot of Asians so I need your expert opinion. Is this rice cooker Asian approved? I don't want to buy a dodgy one.

      I think the choice is a tiger brand rice cooker they smuggled back from Japan. :P

    Made it to 50years old without a rice cooker and then bought this - 50 wasted years…..
    Seriously though it has been a great investment - not only for rice but have steamed veggies and dumplings, dimsims in there.
    Only concern is in warming mode it seems a little too hot and there is a flashing red light that I cant seem to turn off.

    Great cooker but the non stick coating has started to peel off. I've tried to order a replacement but been on the 'waiting' list for the past 5 months. Rice cooker is great, replacement parts from Tefal is non existent.

      How long did the non-stick coating last and how often did you use it? Did you use the keep warm function much? I juts received mine yesterday and it works a treat. Would like to ensure that I can preserve its life for as long as possible

        We use the cooker about 3-4 times a week. It was about 8 months old when the non stick started peeling off.

        I don't use the keep warm option much at all.

        The replacement pots are in stock now. I also love the rice cooker as well just have an issue with the quality of the pots. I've ordered a couple more pots to keep me going for a couple of years delivery time is 5 weeks lol. I'd recommend buying some replacement pots as well if you are a heavyish user of the rice cooker.
