    • How to get the extended warranty?

  • Finally gave in having used pod machines for a decade and purchased this yesterday via Shopback (confirmed cashback). Click and collect within an hour of ordering @ GG - excellent service. Educating myself via YouTube how to videos before an unboxing later today. Mentally preparing myself to be patient and learn this new process.

  • i have bought this machine using the voucher. i paid using paypal in 4 payments. how can i receive the $120 store credit vouchers?

    • From T&C
      3) Every qualifying customer can automatically increase their eligible Click & Collect Bonus Store Credit if their qualifying transaction is paid in full using PayPal Pay in 4 at the time of Checkout.

You may still get the $80 non pay in 4 credit though

      • Thanks for the answer. Yes i can see the T&C. However, when I try to claim the bonus offer from this link, it showed "Unfortunately you do not qualify for any offers." although i have provided the correct order number and date. Have you successfully claimed for yours ?

        • In the t&c's it states credits will be sent via SMS/email from the 14/7 which also coincides with the last day of payment with PayPal.

          • @d0nkey: thanks a lot for the information !

  • What are people buying?

Already got a knock box from that $11 deal a couple months ago.

I got a few things for mine:

If I could only pick some things to buy, it would be the first three. You can live without the rest but I would definitely purchase them all again if given the choice.

      • Thanks! I did a bit more research and also looking at a tamper mat, coffee machine brush, espresso machine cleaning tablets and replacement steel steam lever (maybe for this one).

        • Hiya,

Did you end up purchasing the steel steam lever? The knob/switch it comes with is terrible and I'm wondering if replacing the lever helps with the usability of it.

          • @AaronR: No I haven't yet. For now it's not essential. There's some videos which makes the lever look a lot more usable

  • Wow, I need to read a bit better. I thought the voucher was coming out today not July.

    • Already got my cart sitting and ready to check out in July!

  • Hi, anyone bought this model & encounter stiff steam knob?

    • It doesn’t turn as nicely as I would like. This morning I even had it almost on, but not quite. After my steam was failing to start I had to look and turn the knob slightly to turn it on.

Doesn’t seem faulty, just poorly designed/built. Not sure if one of the aftermarket knob replacements will improve it or not.

      What is yours doing?

      • Mine was quite stiff, and like you said the knob had to be fully turned for the steam to start working.

I contacted breville support and was told to get it in store and replaced. Unfortunately, the display model at the Good Guys for this colour was just as stiff. The other black colour model next to it was very smooth. But the good guys don't deem it as a fault because the display model behave the same and asked to give it another month, if it doesn't loosen up they promise to swap another one.

        Let's see.

I'm wondering if all who bought this model has the same stiff knob?

          • @kllee au: My machine has stiff knob too for steam and it doesn't retract to the middle. Now I am being more careful in using it and double confirm if it is back to the middle. Waiting for store credit and will raise it to GG castle hill once I go there to spend it

anyone have a copy of the T+Cs for the store credit? also wondering where to contact if we didn't receive

  • Havn’t received mine yet. Any suggestions where to follow up?

  • I didn't receive store credit yet

  • I haven't received store credit… logged into my good guys account to make an enquiry, no response yet.
I was wondering how other people ordered, if we can determine what determines if you get credit or not.
I created my gg account during the order process. I hadn't noticed any tick box while signing up to agree to receiving marketing emails. Anyone else noticed such an option? Anyway, immediately after order, I went to manage my account to make sure marketing emails was on (I forgot whether it was on by default, or whether I had to switch it on…)
I have received marketing emails ever since my order.

    • I made an inquiry online and it says typically you'll receive a response within 5 days. Mine was an existing account with marketing emails already being received. I paid via Pay in 4 to get the increased bonus.

  • On there website regarding promotional store credit.

"Qualifying customers typically receive their store credit within 7 to 14 days after the promotion ends, sent to the email or SMS that the invitation was sent to. Look at the Promotion on our website - it will have all the info you need including the promotion start and end date, when you need to have the product paid for, collected or delivered by to be eligible."

I wonder what can we do if TGG ends up not sending out the promised store credits? Can we create a PayPal dispute? After all it is a ‘Pay in 4’ promotion ran and agreed between PayPal and TGG.

    • I think TGG is becoming real bad guys. I didn't receive store credits too and used PayPal pay in 4

      • Yeah I just opened a dispute with PayPal. Don’t bother contacting TGG again as they never reply anyway. Let’s see how this thing goes.

Just received in my inbox $150 store credit

    • Yes! Finally!
Edit: Looks like a single use store credit and any unused amount cannot be used in another transaction.

    • Yep received mine 30 mins ago. With the extra $30 to make it $150 total.

  • Yes, got it, $150.

  • I'm still waiting on my $120. :(

    • Have you checked your junk mail folder? Check your TGG account whether you have opted to receive their marketing materials. You won’t get it if you don’t.

      • Not in junk and marketing materials checked. I made an enquiry online 15/07. I'll call them if I don't hear back by Thurs.

        • They don’t reply emails or online enquiries. Yeah best to just call them and if they don’t send it out by end of this week, open a PayPal dispute. Good luck.

  • I didn't receive the store credit.

    • Contacted them and got the store credit in the end.

      • How did you contact them!? I sent an enquiry and then an email and I've heard nothing.

        • I tried both sending inquiry on their website and report from paypal. Don't know which one reached them.

          • @truth000: Okay, thanks.

            • +1

@carlenet: PayPal. Don’t bother with their online enquiries just head straight to open a PayPal dispute.

              • @wtfnodeal: Thanks for your response, I've lodged a PayPal dispute. :)

                • @carlenet: $120 store credit magically appeared in my email this morning. I don't think it's any coincidence and say the PayPal dispute set it all into motion. Thanks all for your help.

          • @truth000: PayPal. Don’t bother with their online enquiries just head straight to open a PayPal dispute.
