  • Anyone have any experience with the trickle chargers? Looking to get one for my i30N but not sure if I should spend more on the CTEK ones.

No experience with their trickle chargers but you can't go wrong with a CTEK MXS 5.0 which you can often pickup for around $100.

I have a CTEK msx7.0. absolute must have if you have a car you don't drive often. If you don't plan on getting a car jumper, it's worth while getting a charger with higher output so it can charge up a dead battery quickly

Might grab a CTEK then! I bought a GOOLOO GP2000 jump starter battery in case cause I do a lot of country driving on the weekends for work and I have a dashcam installed directly to the fuse. But I think it's good to have a CTEK at home during the week when I'm not out much.

    • I have the GOOLOO Supersafe S4 that is charging my car right now. It works well but is slow, so I leave it charging overnight.
I purchased it based on the many positive Amazon reviews.
Edit: just noticed that it is cheaper now than when I purchased it. I'm gutted.

  • I need a trickle charger for my car, but I don't have a powerpoint in the basement where my car is, unfortunately just not a thing for apartment parking.

Is there any trickle charger that can charge from powerbank instead?

    • I have seen the 'CTEK CS FREE' which sounds like what you may be after. There is probably cheaper options available also.

      • That costs 3 x more than a new battery ahaha but good to know it exists. I'll keep doing research on cheaper alternatives.

        • Probably can buy a few 20m ext cords and find a powerpoint with 60m?
