Credit to spackbace for finding the easy $10 deal. Thought the $20 option was worthy of its own post.

Being an OzBargainer who doesn't love easy money? You can get $20 instead of $10 if you don't mind singing happy birthday and submitting the video to BWS. I just did a quick 15 second video on the online form. Was a really easy process.

Note: You can only do one. If you have already signed the birthday card for $10 you can't do the birthday song for $20 as well.

The first 3,000 valid video Messages (containing someone singing happy birthday to BWS, other than singing that is performed for a Task 3 or Task 4 and other than doing a BWS birthday dance) received and accepted by the Promoter (having passed the moderation process and deemed deserving by the Promoter's representatives based on merit) will win a $20 digital Vault Pays-enabled Prepaid Mastercard®.

    Rejected as well. Looks like BWS have managed to turn a PR stunt into a PR loss. Skimping on this is enough for me to stop spending there.

    Finally got an email. For the birthday singing.

    “ We apologise for the delay, we have received a large number of entries.

    I can confirm that your claim has now been approved, please allow 24-48 hrs for your digital Mastercard to come through.”

    WTF! My family had two entries for the cake, been waiting over two weeks, and just got two rejected emails for 'not satisfying task requirements'. They absolutely did! What a scam this promotion has been

    Merged from BWS 21st Birthday Rejections

    Anyone else receive rejection emails yesterday regarding their entry, which they submitted over 2 weeks ago? They provided a BS reason that the entry did not meet the competition requirements, but I suspect they were overwhelmed with entries and simply rejected all these entries. Two of my family members received this message, and I know for a fact the entries complied.

    Very unimpressed with this promotion, it was terribly and unprofessionally run with T&C's that were all over the place, but regardless, the entries most definitely were compliant. Even my own entry which was under 10 seconds was approved. So what gives..

    Don't bother emailing BWS with a complaint, they will just send a cookie cutter response and fob you off.

        These were all cake entries. I got mine, but these other two claims by my family members were denied. Waste of time, ingredients and effort making these cakes.

        It was cake entries, the videos were 10 seconds and had 'Happy birthday BWS' clearly written in the icing , so no excuse not to award the win.

              the terms also say, "deemed deserving by the Promoter's representatives based on merit".

                @Savas: Nah, T&C's had no restrictions on how many people can enter and win. Yes it's clauses like these that allow them to weasel out of paying out. But to go to the effort of making a cake and using ingredients I don't know how they can deny it based on merit , the 'Happy Birthday BWS' was clearly visible in the icing. I know other people on here had encountered similar issues with this promotion. Just have to write it off I guess, but cannot deny this promo had very inconsistent/vague T&Cs and instructions.

      I did the lowest value one (Write a Birthday card for $10) got approved quite easily. I think loads of people went for the higher value activities and they got so overwhelmed with media uploads that they don't have enough manpower to watch or listen to all of them.

        That's what I am thinking too. Easier to just reject them all and claim a BS reason. They probably ran out of $ ages ago. It was interesting how they re-opened entries for those higher pay challenges towards the end though..

        I entered early in the promotion, and it still took about over 2 weeks for approval.

        There were limits on how many people could enter each of the activities.. some of the high value ones were already closed before it was even posted on ozbargain.

    Since I downloaded and signed up to the Vault Payment app to get the $20 gift card, I've started receiving scam texts about Afterpay codes and Zip refunds. Never had any sort of buy now, pay later" payment method - hoping it's coincidental and that these are just the latest round of scam SMS.
