I would rather get the S2722QC for ~$389 with UHD display and 2x HDMI ports

      Security.

      • +1 for security.

  • Have a few of these at work. Look pretty good. Hooks up USBC. Videoconferencing works well in an office, useless out in the pods.

Careful buying monitors from Dell, bought one last month only to be told i wont get it until mid-August. They are knowingly selling products they dont even have, and hanging on to everyone's cash rather then marking them as out of stock until it's available.

    • This is pretty known though, if you go to their website it usually says estimated dispatch date

      • It said "Printers, monitors, projectors and other accessories 2 - 6 business days"

    • I mean you can also cancel, and Dell often put the worst-case ETA and deliver early. I've been told 2 months on many occasions only to have the monitor delivered in 2 weeks…

      • Well i just bought a 12900k computer and they said 4 weeks, and it was closer to 6 weeks. Now the monitor it's their "support" who are telling me 16th August so i have no hope it will be early.

This monitor isn't a pre-order, if they can't deliver stock for 3 months they need to mark it as out of stock instead of hoarding millions of peoples money for months pocketing interest. What a con.

I've bought Dell for +20 years, never again.

        • 1 million in interest @ 3% would be 30K per annum, that's $2500, it's not worth the brand damage for $7500 to delay orders by 3 months. They are basically manufacturing or shipping according to demand. Easy business model, and if you want cheap monitors that's what you get. If you want to pay the premium of having stock sitting there and you go and pick one up, then you're looking at a 30% premium for that

          • @itshammer: Dell isn't an Australian company, they would be sinking the money in to places like Argentina at 40% and not here at 3% and who says it's only 1 million cash they are holding in undelivered stock.

Plus i wouldn't call a 4 digit monitor cheap, it's their "business" level hardware for a business application. So now an almost $4k workstation bought off them will gather dust for 3 months unless another monitor is bought to use while the monitor arrives.

Anyway as i said, no more Dell for us.

  • anyone know how can this be use with desktop without usb c? in term of using of the camera for Windows Hello?

  • thank you, bought 1.
