NetGear Orbi RBK353 AX1800 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6 Kit (3-Pack) $346 + Delivery @ The Good Guys Commercial (Membership Required)

130

Seems to be the cheapest available out there. Next cheapest is at Costco @ $399.99

There seems to be some listing error on TGGC website about specs:
* Memory:512MB NAND flash and 512MB RAM (Should be 1GB RAM according to official site for the SKU)
* What's In The Box:One (1) Orbi Router (RBR350) One (1) Orbi Satellite (RBR350) One (1) 2m Ethernet cable Two (2) 12V/1.5A power adapters (Should be 2x Orbi satellite and 3x adapters)

It might have been copied from the 2 pack kit but who knows, the URL and SKU on the listing is for the 3 packs…

I personally prefer the Orbi Pro AC3000 in this post for $399 but this deal here might float your packets better if you don't care about the business features.

  • I have almost 60+ smart devices like Smart curtains, Echo shows and echo dots, Smart sensors, smart lights, smart powerboards, etc.

Will this be able to support that many devices without performance degradation ?

    • +3

Sorry probably won't be able to give you an accurate answer as it depends on how those smart devices work as well! e.g. does the smart lights use zigbee or something to talk to the hub (in my case, 40 Hue lights connecting to the Hue hub so technically only 1 device is connected to the network).

I also have over 70 smart devices + 15 phones/PCs and it works fine on an ASUS RT-AC68U so I don't see why it won't work with this Orbi set. I believe they don't consume too many bandwidth hence my network performance has been OK for users of PCs and phones.

  • Seems it is the lowest price I have ever seen on this.

if you don't care about the business features.

OP, can you clarify this? I am keen to buy one of these. (Though I don’t have GCC access, so might have to go for SRKC60)

    • This article will give you an idea of the differences, disregard the Orbi tri-band as this deal is only for the dual band.

  • Not a bad device however the MK63 has been on sale for much cheaper. Smaller and less polarising IMO.

  • Loved my orbi's for the first six months, worked awesome. No new devices or anything and recently so many drop outs it's not funny still working through "solutions" nothing solid yet. If I thought office works would take them back i'd pack them up and swap them for something else in a heart beat unfortunately.

    • Which model do you have running and what's dropping? Is it the internet connection or the local/wifi network?

      • +1

Yeah RBK50 and its the wifi not net that dies.

Hopefully new gen has fixed it for people picking this up but having spent a lot of time recently on forums this seems like a common complaint unfortunately.

    • If the Officeworks would take it back, what would be your next choice? just wondering..

I am thinking to buy a mesh soon, and wondering if I should buy one from Costco instead, as it is much easier to return at costco, if i am not happy with the product.

      • There was a deal for the nighthawk mesh recently that actually looked alright but I'd probably just go something vanilla.

Colleague from work set up his mesh around the same time but went with the TP Link Deco. Checked in with him last week and he's been very happy with them, been humming along and they have a lot of devices connected on theirs apparently.

        • Do you know if the Deco is E,S,M or X series? I am also inclined towards Deco, but confused with so many of the models available in market.

  • This or the TP link deco x20?
