    Ye but it aint 65W

    • +17

Are you expecting a 65W charger for $19?

      • Clearly Skele wants it to blow up

  • Looking for a charger for POCO F3 with Australian power plug. Need output: 33W 11.0V / 3.0 A. Anyone has any suggestion?

      Will this Baseus charger work?

      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/313865596476

      Includes 12V 3A, $47.51 with Ebay 20% discount ($46.32 with Ebay Plus).

      • I guess It should. Good pick! Thank you seb. Just wish it was cheaper :-)

If say the Braun (Aldi) ones on sale at moment for $12 would be a better bet.

Easy returns if they end up been duds too.

    • Sign up for $10 voucher & go for this @$9!

Why pay $3 more - for a generic cheapie that sell elsewhere for around $12??
Mydeal or Kogan will deliver a similar generic one with QC3.0 for $12.95

      Aldi Doesn't even state QC3.0!, just 1 x USB-C and 1 x USB-A, 20W PD

Seems you think the Bauhn (not Braun) ones will be duds🤔 So why buy!

From my experience with Bauhn products, reviewing them, & being contacted by the supplier to help improve their quality control… you are likely to be right.
      I wouldn't trust those!

Went on sale Saturday, has 1yr warranty, so keep the receipt!

JB send you a copy of the receipt - which makes warranties easier.
Got easy returns for JB purchases within 30d.

Thanks Op, got one for $9 with Perks

  • The Samsung Super Charging needs to be 25W is that right?

    • +2

Super fast charging requires PPS and a wattage of 25W or 45W depending on your phone

  • Has anyone used this before? Is it any good?

    • +4

Had it for a week. To use in the kitchen for my pixel 5.

      Unit seems to be quality.

Not a comprehensive test. I'm just going by the text at bottom of phone screen. SoC 85%. Both ports reported 20-25mins to FULL.

      • The USB-C (PD 20W) port "rapid charges" my P5 with USB-C cable supplied with phone
      • The USB-A (QC 3.0) port only "charges" my P5 with USB-A to USB-C cable supplied with my pixel buds.

Haven't used two devices at same time. I just need to get the right USB-C cable to utilise it.

For $9 I am happy enough without being thrilled :)

  • lol I literally just bought this, with perks. (before seeing this post)

  • Thanks OP !

    Grabbed one

  • Got another $10 voucher, ordered, ready to collect.

Why do much hate for the Heymix working great for me ?

  • In what way was it designed in Australia?

Did they engineer the components that compose it? Design the PCB layout? develop it? test it?

Or did they pick it out of an alibaba catalogue and design the geko logo for it?

Genuinely curious about the "designed in Australia"

    • Having advised a business that calls itself an "Australian Manufacturer" (supplying to Aldi)… Likely little.
With that business, they chose the product from the manufacturer, added Aldi's Trademark, designed the manual & packaging, and firmware was tweaked here.

Have 5 x heymix, none have blown up.

    • +2

Heymix is the only brand of charger posted here on a regular basis that has reviews involving smoke or fire.

      • Haha u sound a little obsessed with hating Heymix 😬

        • +1

Hopefully the message gets through to someone.

I can understand your situation where you've bought pretty much every heymix charger and now you're in an extreme post purchase justification stage.

Most other brands would more than likely be issuing a recall now given the issues I've seen across multiple heymix products.

  • Is gecko a decent quality brand?

    • haven't heard - the offer is now expired anyway - i'm gonna get a spare cygnett one with perks $10 expiring today.
Edit - was browsing JB a bit more and noticed the price back down to $19 - went with it. Thanks OP

      • to be noted now the regular price is $19 - it's not shown as a sale item anymore

Guessing the manufacturer is the same as this one

    https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/GOOD-SHE-20W-USB-C-PD…

About the "Designed in Australia", did they mean the logo and brand? lol

    • Hey come on now, this QC connector is green, your one is orange! :D

      • Have a chat with them, they can actually change it to whatever colour you wish :)

    • Haha, I did think to look on alibaba if i could find one from the OEM. $0.60-$3.50 per unit.
That gecko logo must be something.

    • To be fair that's not the same charger or manufacturer but yes the Gecko is made in China. The most important thing is Gecko chargers are certified to meet AUS/NZ safety standards. A house in our street burned to the ground, the fire was started by a generic Chinese USB charger. Many chargers made in the PRC display symbols e.g. CE, ROHS, SAA, CB etc. But they're more often than not fake they have never been certified by any of these organizations. If they were certified by so many organizations it would increase the purchase price significantly. For the charger advertised on alibaba I only checked the SAA Approval Certificate but the approval number they provide: SAA-172627-EA does not relate to the charger they have advertised. They list in their specifications Input voltage and current: 100-240V/0.6A, output voltage and current: 9V/2A, 5V/3A, 12V/1.5A, 9V/2.22A but not one of the SAA approvals using the reference number they provide match these specifications (very suspicious and deceptive) I can only assume all of their certification documentation are forgeries or do not relate to the charger advertised.

  • Thanks OP. Needed one and my perks voucher expired today.

  • Deal's expired, showing $29 now
