This one is Lenovo Tab M10 FHD Plus is a 2nd-generation 10.3" with a display resolution of 1920 x 1200.

  • +4

Specs state 64GB version is 1920x1080 and the 128GB version is 1280x800. Surely that's a typo.

"It features dual speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos for immersive entertainment."

    Chortle chortle, snigger snigger

Gee am I going to be blown away by the power of the tablet speakers!

        I've sold my soundbar already!

    Price match to Harvey Norman

  • +22

This comes with Android 9 and is updatable to Android 10 (with no further updates to come) according to Lenovo's Upgrade Matrix. That's utterly ridiculous for a tablet being sold in 2022.

      Any evidence link pls?

        Here you go

        Also noticed its Micro-USB

        • +6

          micro-usb is soooooo old

        • +1

Micro USB is the Gen 1.
But the Amazon description also says the resolution is 1200 X 800… regardless if that's a typo, don't risk.

          • +1

@Toxinor: Yes just noticed this may be the result of Amazon bundling multiple items on one page, but with a single Q&A.

Looking at the Lenovo webpage for it, it does appear to have USB-C.

            • +2

@flagsarefun: I'm using the Alcatel 3X almost of the same processor (P23 vs P22T), same ram. Just a small screen with low resolution.
It's barely sufficient for web browsing and 720p videos.

        • +1

i have one and it is USB-C, the first gen was micro USB.

        • micro- USB was on the generation 1. Officeworks says 2nd Gen m10 has USB-C, is this the one?:

          https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/lenovo-tab…

I bought the 128gb one for my son when there was a deal it has a USB-C.

I recently got the m10 3rd gen and happy with. Was going to replace the kids iPads (2nd gen and speed drive me insane, iOS version can’t run newest apps or at full function such as allowing Netflix download but crashed trying to play) but Lenovo direct had them for $299 and got cash rewards of $44 each (the code Lenovo use is a web generated code so doesn’t count as an exclusion) so got the 2 for same price as 1 iPad. While the 2nd gen was similar discount to this deal at the time I wanted longer OS support with 3rd gen goes to 2025, as well as a number of other improvements. . Biggest challenge is there are very few “kid” cases but AliExpress had some for under $15 (Amazon had same ones for over $30 each)

    • Will it not work with A10?

    • +2

Had a couple of Lenovo tablets in the past for a cheap point of sale terminal. Completely unsupported. Unless you're buying them to be disposable, don't mind them being completely insecure, or can get lineageos for them, steer well clear.

      • These are shit for continuous use, I use one of these as a wall display for my security cameras, i am into 3rd replacement now

  • Lenovo website:
    10.3" FHD (1920x1200) TDDI 330nits, 10-point Multi-touch

  • +1

Almost same hardware as my Alcatel 3x except for the large screen.
P22T and 4gb ram are just enough for basic functions nowadays. It's okay, only if you limit the demands on web browsing and videos with 720p.

  • it's already outdated

  • This or Samsung tab a8?

  • Will this be ok for my kid to watch Bluey video files (not streaming)? Are there any better 10" tablets for similiar money?

    • all good, i stream youtube and podcasts through amazon music.

  • +1

Tempting, no Netflix hd is a shame however

  • +5

Better off with one of Clear's AliExpress Lenovo P11 deals

    • Depends what your using it for. I needed 2 for my kids and got m10 3rd gen for $255 each. I considered the minor amount more for the p11 but figured the specs it had were not too dissimilar when comparing 3rd gen, not having to mess with the Chinese os, longer os support, and local warranty.

I know these are 2nd gen (I would have probably chosen p11 over 2nd gen if I only had those options as there was an Amazon deal including precision pen 2 for around $360) and I’m comparing to 3rd gen but if anyone can hold off and wait for Lenovo to have 3rd gen for $299 again plus the usually generous cash rewards I can say is I’m happy with my choice

  • The advertisement says Qualcomm Snapdragon, GSMarena says Helio P22T.

It's appropriate for the price, not specifically a deal.

  • +1

    No 4 gee

    • No this is M10 1st gen.

  • +1

I've got one of these just for basic youtube, internet etc without dragging a laptop around when on work trips.

    Type C
    Great battery life
Works fine, screen looks good, interface is not laggy at all.
Software updates are a woeful fail, but doesn't affect it working

For $200 could do much worse.

  • I've been looking for a tablet that I can afford that works with a Square Reader. I've run into compatibility issues with Square before so I want to check a few things first, but this looks like it pretty much hits the mark.

I have a 2018 Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5", but unfortunately it's not compatible even though every other Galaxy A Tab is in their list (yes I've tried to get it working).
This tablet is a "Lenovo Tab M10 FHD 2nd Gen", but in Square's compatibility list they have "Lenovo Tab M10 FHD Plus (2nd Gen)". The Amazon page lists in the "From the manufacturer" section that it's a plus model but maybe it's just been copy/paste because the models are all so closely related.

    Questions:
Is this the same as the Plus version?
Those that use a Square Reader with an android tablet, have you been able to find something cheap to get the job done that you're happy with?

    Cheers

Wife has the same table (2nd gen fhd plus), it gets pretty laggy. Not a smooth experience

  • Would this make for a good homeassistant wall mounted screen?

    • Not if you need to interact with the device. Even my 5 yo kid thinks the device is too sluggish. I then turned it into a photo frame to display family photos all day long and I have no complains since, but yah, you can get a cheaper digital photo frame obviously.

Guys, I have just received mine. Just to confirm the specs from Amazon:

CPU: MediaTek Helio P22T Octa Core
    Display: 10.3"1920x1200 IPS

    OS: Android 10
    Battery: 5000 mah
    Dolby Atmos

Not sure about the Harvey model but this is what I got from Amazon. Hope this helps.

  • My son is after something like this or Mi Pad 5 with 5G on Ali for about $137 after adding vat and store coupon. Which is better buy, any thoughts appreciated?
