Cheers - added to the post.

      • I'd imagine OW would price beat this brining the price down even further?

        • +3

I checked. Seems they don't sell the C922 Pro, so no dice.

        • Officeworks doesn't sell the C922.

        • +2

Use the JB Perks to bring it down to $89 if you haven’t used it yet

Cheers, I picked one up from JB 😁

finally. now its worth it its down to 2019 prices again.

    • Yeah I bought one during peak WFH. Cost me about $180 if I remember. And the options were pay lots for something good (this), or pay slightly less lots for something average (sold out), or pay slightly less lots again for noname brands.

  • Got one of these a few years back when they were sold out everywhere, really good quality webcam, all you need for streaming.

    • But the camera can't rotate left/right when attached to your laptop screen, right?

      • No, although I cannot imagine a situation where you would need that but couldn't use the included tripod stand.

Finally I can start that OnlyFans account.

  • Literally bought one 2 days ago at a higher price 😭

      Return and repurchase.

      • +4

Way too much effort to save a few bucks - more environmentally friendly too :)

        • +5

Return the new unopened one using your old receipt?

          • +2

@JiGaXD: It does still use energy (possibly with pollution) to transport the goods to and from

  • Looks like 1080p is max 30fps, you'll have to use 720p for 60fps.

    • +2

I think that's what the description says

      • +1

        I think it's $99 delivered by Amazon.

        • +4

          I've heard it's a webcam

        • $69 pick up for me @ Jb-Hifi : O

          • -1

@squidz: But for an additional $30, you can have a peasant deliver it to your home.

            • +1

@Munki: I have peasant delivered 1.50 of chupachups to me today.
              They deserved a break

          • @squidz: Hmmmm can't see that price. There's been rumours of a cheat code to get it though, is that what you used?

  • +7

Heads up, really annoying for web conferencing. You have to close the logitech app before starting a zoom call to get video to work. But then without the logitech app open, video makes me look like I have been sun burnt. So then you need to load the logitech app (after zoom video has started working) to tweak the settings and it never saves the settings.

Have to repeat this for every web conference, zoom, teams, etc.

    • +7

I have never ever had an issue like this - i didn't even install the Logitech app. Just plug and play. Works great with Zoom or Teams.

      • +2

So how do you tweak the settings? e.g. brightness/contrast etc?

        • +1

The driver that windows installs for it has a settings application that let's you do that.

    • Seconded, never had this problem. This camera just works.

  • +1

why not use mobile phone as webcam?

    • +1

the mobile phone may still need to be used when having a online meeting or something

    • +1

Mobile phones aren't designed for long term camera use. Short stints it's fine, day in day out for hours on end is not recommended.

      • Apple say yes

        • So do vloggers for the last decade or so, much to the disgust of those around them.

  • Great webcam, have a few of these - works well

  • is Lenovo 300 FHD WebCam better than Logitech C922 Pro? Except for the Lenovo 300 FHD dose not support 720p 60fps.

  • I bought the brio instead

    • +1

      For $99?

      • No. Double that…

        • Ah, ok. I have a Brio as well and was on the lookout for another at a good price. Thought you may have discovered a cracker deal for one.

  • +2

Was looking at this before but decided to get a $34 one from Amazon instead.

Got it today and it’s got great video quality at 1080p and good mic. Perfect for work calls on Teams and not having to open the lid of the laptop for that shitty camera

    https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07D2HYBVS?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_s…

    • Manual focus, though? Is that going to be an issue if you move too far forwards and backwards?

      • I just use it for work calls on Teams and I’m always at the same position in front of the camera so once it’s manually adjusted I won’t need to adjust it again.

I moved forward and backward a bit adjusting myself during a one hour call but I didn’t go out of focus.

        YMMV

  • Just ordered. Thanks.

  • Streamcam regularly on sale for $125-$135, that's a lot better value due to the step up in quality.

  • +3

Note: This camera is NOT compatible with Windows Hello facial recognition, in case anyone is wondering. :)

  • +1

    is there a non-pro?

    • +1

      Asking the real questions

  • +6

Is it just me or 100$ for a 6 year old model seem too much?

    • +1

Agree but it's also the climate we're in, there isn't enough of anything

      • +4

You probably believe that Putin is the reason our electricity price is going up too.

  • +1

XSplit is a great program, but I'd hate to have a subscription for it. A lifetime licence was included in an ancient humble bundle for about $10 and is probably one of the best value items I've gotten from a humble bundle.

  • +1

I was looking for a deal on webcams but after WWDC I can't wait to just use my iPhone wirelessly

  • Been using one for a year now, and no issues on my end. Just wish it had a physical privacy cover over the lens

  • Does not work on M1 Macs as per the reviews on Amazon

  • +1

If you’re wondering, it’s not worth upgrading from the c920

  • I just use my old dashcam

  • How good is the built in stereo mic for conference calls when placed on top of a monitor (roughly 2 feet away from face) ?
