Thx OP almost bought it for $450 last night!

  • The white one looks much better in person

    • +2

I bought this bundle last time and I haven’t touched the game yet lmao

      • I just bough this bundle - can you recommend any good games I should buy to start off

        • For multiplayer: Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Mario Party Superstars

For single player: any Zelda games :)

    • +2

They should be paying me $7 to play that

    • Thanks for sharing this - got this bundle for $408! Not bad!

  • I have the Animal Crossing console and it makes it so hard for me to justify upgrading to the White OLED. I love the colours on the ACNH console.

    • +1

no need to upgrade especially if you are playing on TV, the animal crossing one does look really nice

      • Play handheld more now Vs during lockdowns, so was tempted to upgrade but just looking at my ACNH console makes me smile so I’m trying not to get tempted. 😅

        • If you play handheld more than tv then yeah probably worth upgrading. The OLED screen looks absolutely stunnng!

        • Just buy and keep only the OLED console, sell the rest of the accessories with the old console from the ACNH only. You will only miss the ACNH printed back cover on the console that you won’t find on the OLED.

    • +1

Just use the joycon and dock from the NH one with the OLED console

  • +1

Kids have been bugging for one, thanks OP

  • Be quick 3 neons left

  • +2

FYI If you don't care either way for the OLED screen and looking to just play handheld- Gamesmen also have all Switch Lite varieties for $267.50 (eBay Plus).

    Blue

    Grey

    Yellow

    Coral

    Pokemon Dialga & Palkia Edition

    • Looks like they jacked the price a little. I bought one a few days ago from Gamesmen ebay, with ebay plus. It came to $255.80 with discount code,
original price was $327.95 a few days ago
      $267 is still decent though

thanks bought the white oled one

  • Thanks I think I got it just in time. Looks like they might be all gone now

    • The Gamesmen pulled the stock early. When I changed the URL, the eBay listing for the white variant showed there was more than 12 available

  • +1

Thanks, ordered the white version with pokemon bundle

  • +4

    Both models back in stock.

  • Purchased a couple days ago and eagerly awaiting it to get shipped. What shipping times did others experience?

    • Mine was quick, next day dispatched. Tho that was like a month ago when I ordered from The Gamesmen

    • +2

I'm in the same boat as you. Ordered on the 14th and still waiting for dispatch

      • +2

Was really hoping to get it before the weekend, looking unlikely at this stage

  • Code doesn't seem to work anymore. Any luck anyone?

    • Both codes still work on my end

      • Thanks mate. It's throwing me a "This code can't be applied to your order" error when I tried to apply this code in Ebay for this order. Price is $514.95 Strange.

  • With the shop back $10 challenge - Does this make this the lowest?

I am planning to get it as a gift for my son whose birthday is in October.

Does my fellow ozbargainers suggest I hold off?

    Thanks

    • +2

Hey mate, yeh it would be the lowest with the eBay cashback tracked and the challenge too

$401.66 less the standard eBay cashback (0.5% for existing eBay users or 2% for new eBay users) less the $10 challenge

I’m not too sure if we would see a better deal before the EOFY but imo I would grab one

      • +1

Thank you for the reply. Appreciate it.

        • No worries, hope your son enjoys his new Switch if you are going to buy one!

    • $10 challenge tell me more

  • Tempted to get this for one of the kids Xmas or at least they can share.
But games are so expensive and why has Nintendo not released a new console like Sony and microwave did.
We currently use the wii and son loves it and Mario mad but game prices on this are crazy.

I use an Xbox one have a ton of games for it and refuse to up for new releases. A handful of almost full priced ones I have paid for but most have been $25 and less.
I do fancy the new Xbox but want a big price drop on it before I consider.

These switches be nice if you got two handhelds so both kids can use it but I suspect this is not possible?
And how many players can use this on a tv can you get extra controllers etc.

I know this would go down well with sim being a Mario fan.
It not be an Xmas gift so I’m in no rush if better deals.

    • There has been rumours about a new Switch coming but expected date is unknown

Re on the cost of the games, sometimes we’ve seen retailers like Harvey Norman, Target and Amazon selling it for <$50 but that’s because they’re clearing the stock

Two handhelds are possible. You can either use the one that comes with the Switch and separate each joy-con for 2 parties (one party will have the left side and vice versa) to use or buy a new joy-con and pair it with your Switch to have both left and right joy-cons

The number of players allowed is dependent on the game itself. Zelda games are usually one player only, while games like Mario Party Superstars, Super Smash Bros Ultimate etc are family-friendly

Doubt that we may see further price drop than the $399 and $399.20 posted a while ago

      • Is this only comes with one controller then? And you have to pay out for another?
I know myself an Xbox one user I only got one controller and purchased a second soon after.
But these Nintendo consoles are intended for family and two kids to play.
So your saying I need to buy another controller?
This will be a gift for son at Xmas but im sure the daughter who is slightly older will want to play with him as well as mum and maybe myself.
So this is basically a console that comes with a portable part to it being the qled to allow to use portable and also on tv.
Being both kids will like to play on the tv just be nice if daughter had the portable option as well if say sim was hogging it must of the times.

Or does this not work with two portables at once ie son against daughter portable on a game.
Interesting there is a new Nintendo coming but big question is when and I thought they did upgrade in past soon after PlayStation and Microsoft did something new.
But that’s been a while now these came out but yet no Nintendo.
Ok whatever it will be will be expensive and I just bet after if I decide to get this then out comes something new.
When did qled come out was it 2019 and it’s basically same I think with just a few extras tweaks.
Where is Xbox and ps5 moved up a game or two, I do feel I would be buying into a dated system

        • Yup, it only comes with one controller only.

In terms of playing against each other, you would need the Nintendo Online membership. Best if you just save that membership and use the TV to play against each other.

There’s been only one model for OLED Switch. This is basically an upgraded model (added an OLED screen, improved kickstand etc) of the previous generation of Nintendo Switch (with no OLED)

          Hope this article helps: https://www.techradar.com/au/news/nintendo-switch-oled-vs-ni…

          Cheers!
