    Extra Large Peanuts

I know I'm not the only one who saw this and chuckled

    • +2

Are we talking shelled or unshelled though?

    • +5

They are actually called "Super Extra-Large Peanuts" according to the container

    • I only got 4 in mine

  • Link isn’t working to the catalogue?

You can get peanut butter cheaper than this. 375gm packs go on half price($2.50-3) at Coles & Woolies regularly.

Peanut is not peanut butter ?

      • And nuts are not peanuts 😏

        • Oils ain’t oils

You can also get watermelon cheaper. Usually 99c per kg in season. Also not related to the post…

I've seen peanuts as low as $6 a kilo if not lower, tgis past few months yet still didn't get them.
Are these some special peanuts for it to be that expensive and yet considered a deal

    • +1

Yeah, Woolies and Coles have them for ~$6/kg, pretty sure I've seen them at Aldi under $5/kg for their normal everyday price.

Is there something special about these Costco ones that warrants $8.84/kg as a bargain price?

        Quality and taste

    • +1

      Kirkland brand = high quality

Sometimes a bit lower than the priciest fancy brands, but usually higher. Sometimes much higher (e.g.: the Kirkland baby wipes).

Being as cheap as no-name brands, too, sometimes, is just a bonus.

      • I have tasted the cashews and pistachios and didn't like them, thought they were quite bad quality when compared to even the woollies and coles brand packaged ones.

Gorra love some extra large nuts.
Might buy a pair for my husband

  • Anyone know where you can buy fresh raw unshelled peanuts? Finding it difficult and occasionally find in a fruit n veg store but very sporadic. Even if they're imported raw and frozen.

      As mentioned below http://www.peanutvan.com.au/

      • Thanks, found them on there Have to go through checkout for delivery fee (pet hate) but will see. Just over $11kg raw unshelled.

These are pretty good, quality is so far from woollies, coles and Aldi. Peanuts are from USA and they are large, Roasted and super crunchy.

    • We grow pretty good peanuts here too. Kingaroy has produced some pretty choice nuts over the years.

  • I wish they have the ranch flavour ruffle chips

    That's a lot of nuts!

    • He just left…..with nuts!

  • Although these Australian grown peanuts are the best money can buy and support local jobs and industry. From the nuttiest town in Australia ;)
