    12.5 or 13.3 inch?

    • Would like to know as well. The 12.5 has ugly thick bezels.

    • +2

fixed sorry. This model is a 13.3"

      • +8
        1. Have you checked the batteries, if yes then approx how long do they last?
        2. Do they have a working modem for a sim card?
        3. Does it have a backlit keyboard?
        4. How much stock do you have available for this deal?
        • +4
          1. yes batteries are required to be min 80%
          2. no WANN on this model
          3. yes
          4. we had quite a lot looks to be about 20 units left.
    • +3

Heading says 12.5", but description says 13.3"

  • Do these come with windows 11 pro?

    • +4

      Yes, says in the post

  • What included it says,
    Processor Intel Core i5 8650u 1.90Ghz

    • Yeah I saw that, would want to confirm before purchase that it's the i7

      • definitely i7

        • Haha as easy as that! Thanks

    • +1

Laptop chip names are confusing - The 8650U is an i7 so it's just been mislabeled, but note that it's a low-power chip from a few generations ago - so it might not perform as well as you expect from that title.

  • +3

What would be the battery be like 3-4 hours or less??

    • Same question. What's the battery life like?

    • +2

Going to depend on battery condition, but new these were tested at 10:hr 23min of website browsing at mid screen brightness.

So I'd say unless it's been flogged you are still looking at 6hrs+. Worst case a new battery is about $65.

      • +1

I've had one of these laptops from new - after a few years the battery life was down to 2 mins. It was super easy & cheap to put a new one in myself.

        • Geez that's insane. My Lenovo yoga pro 2 that I've owned from new since 2013 (that I just bought one of these to replace) still goes for a good 2 to 3hrs even though it's now coming up on nearly a decade old.

It's lives a pretty easy life though to be honest.

          • +1

@Binchicken22: Mine is used 10-16hrs a day almost every day, usually on charge via a thunderbolt docking station. The battery had failed…perhaps they don't make them like they used to (though they are also smaller and lighter)

        • I had bad experiences with battery life that short, it correlates to battery bloat in my mind.

        • Just as PSA for others. There is a Dell battery manager app to limit charging to certain % Here

Help for those who might be plugged in a lot.

I have it on my Lenovo X270. Battery lasted pretty well for the last 5 years.

          • @netjock: I have used the Lenovo battery manager at 65% on my Yoga 460 for its whole life (6 years). It is almost never off the charger.
It didn't help, the battery lasts about 3 minutes now, been that way for years. I put it down to the heat from the i7 and dedicated graphics.

      • Which new battery is good? Is it easy to replace our self

        • Yes looks like a nice simple one to replace, back of the laptop just unscrews and the battery is right there.

      • eBay refurb conditions are 80% battery and 12 month warranty, so good, assuming the claim process is not too hard.
Would they send out a replacement battery if it fails (<80%) within 12 months?

        • What is defined as 80% I would be interested to know.

  • Do these work with a stylus, and if so, which would be the one to get?

    • +3

Or just get a genuine one direct from Dell with free delivery

        • Why would you assume that this one is not genuine?

          • -1

            @dosada: I never implied it wasn't

            • +2

@ballsau: "or just get a genuine one" kind of does imply that the other one isn't

        • +2

I'll give you one very good reason to NOT purchase the PN350M directly from Dell, because it's NOT compatible with the Dell Latitude 7390 2-in-1. Serves me right for trusting a random person on OzBargain without doing my own research prior to purchasing.

          • +1

            @Ben1985: Thanks for the warning!
I blame Dell for their idiotic product naming. He probably saw "7390" in the compatibility list, but it was Inspiron, not Latitude.

I think the PN557W or PN556W will work, but Dell documentation is hopeless. Can anyone confirm?

There is a $25 model here, but does not look "original":
            https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004201514410.html

            • @bargaino: Agreed. I've purchased the PN557W as well, which is seemingly compatible. I haven't had a chance to properly test the Dell Latitude 7390 2-in-1 from this deal, so I may be getting ahead of myself.

    WARNING WARNING WARNING

    https://www.reddit.com/r/Dell/comments/t71zh4/is_there_anyon…

people on r/dell are saying to say away from the 2 in 1 version of the 7390 due to stability issues.

Not sure if it is a good idea to buy a four year old laptop with known stability issues.

    • Looks like the main issue being reported there is battery's puffing when they live their whole life on a dock.

Assuming we are going to be sent out laptops with batteries already puffed up (that would be a legitimate reason for return) I don't see that as a huge issue… Just keep an eye on it and if needed, $65 for a replacement battery down the track.

      • scroll down for comments about stability…

        • Yes I know how to scroll…

There is one comment of a guy saying "2 in 1 isn't as stable"… With no sources or further details to back that up.

And there is one guy who complains about battery puffing and overhearing.

There is also plenty of people saying it's great and it's the best laptop they've owned, I don't think this warrants huge concern.

          • @Binchicken22: plenty? Only one comment is positive, rest were all neutral of negative wtf

Are you with OP or something?

            • +1

@canberrascooter: No I'm not, but I just think you are being a bit dramatic. As I said, there is concerns over battery puffing (fair enough, something to watch out for) but that seems about it.

There is one guy saying his overheats and one guy saying it works great, general reviews from around the web are positive.

              For a $450 i7 2in1 laptop with 1 year warranty I think it's well worth a shot.

        • +1

          scroll down

          Or scroll up?

    • +1

might be something as dumb as bios versions ….. if you are tech savy used laptops are OK, if not buy new and get warranty and support.

  • +1

Baught one, fingers cross, hoping to receive good one🤞🤞🤞

    • +1

Trade something sure ($) for hope?

  • Ordered one hope will get good , any suggestions for battery replacement which one is good

    • Good thing we are buying 3 year old ones so the dodgy ones would have died by now hey 😉

You've got a real vendetta against this deal don't you 😅

  • +1

I have Dell latitude 7390 i5 vPro for few years now from work. No issue found otherthan the battery which was replaced after puffed. It is a Solid 2 in 1 laptop. That's why I ordered one for myself. I am not a tech savvy though.

  • -4

Lol I am going to see lots of people opening ebay return process in two weeks time, mark my words

    • +1

You won't see anything unless you're the seller :p

  • +2

only concern I have with this particular model is….RAM soldered, cannot replace/upgrade

    otherwise it looks very good!

    • +9

Is 16GB RAM not enough for this? If you're buying a sub-$500 laptop, I don't think you would need more.

      • +1

it should be good for most, my concern is "RAM not replaceable"

I try to avoid on any laptop that is soldered/not replaceable…..

    • +4

Unnecessarily harsh down voting going on here imo, it's pretty clear he's not saying that he thinks a $450 laptop should come with 32GB ram.

He's saying he has slight concerns with buying soldered ram due to when it fails, you have to replace the whole motherboard. Which is a legitimate concern, ram does go bad eventually.

With a bit of luck though that should still be many years of use away with these ones though (plus they have 1 year warranty if it is bad).

      • +1

        thanks for clarifying!

unsure why I get down voting…but hey it's OzBr@inless I guess…..full of kids & people not knowing soldered ram is a major no no!

maybe someone here bought the laptop thinking that all parts are replaceable, I just pointing this out, or…..maybe I shouldn't?

        • RAM is pretty durable. I don’t think it’s likely to be the first thing to go but I guess it’s nice to have the option to check

          • +2

@FireRunner: you'll be surprise…ram is always the first thing we check for laptop hardware issues!

being non-replaceable mean either hard/soldering works or replacing whole motherboard…either won't be cheap or easy!

            • @davidl2: Interesting, from experience it’s usually the GPU or the motherboard. I don’t think I’ve ever had installed RAM fail

              • @FireRunner: I work in computer repair and in the past 10yrs have seen it failed on only 3 or 4 laptops with it pre-soldered but still sucks to be them when it happens.

  • $443 guys, if you need better specs spend more instead of moaning about soldered memory 😉

    • +2

If it was 8GB, I would be concerned about being a problem in future, but 16GB?! tons for a 3yo model.

  • +1

The pics on the ebay add show two different models.

  • +2

How does this compare to Huawei Matbook D14 for $584?

For $140 more, a new laptop and more SSD but less RAM, what will you choose?

    • 8gb ram for windows unusable in 2022, even if tis upgradeable probably not worth the effort. For $140 more you could get a 1-2TB ssd.

    • I went with this due to,

      A. I really don't use my laptop that much anymore, so this being $140 cheaper is a +
      B. Dell has good support for docks and accessories and I think this also has cellular support, so you can put a SIM card in it.
      C. I think 16GB ram is important, as I'm coming from a yoga pro 2 from 2013 that has 8GB of ram… It just seem weird buying a laptop almost a whole decade newer that still only had 8GB ram.
      D. The two in one form factor this has with touch screen/pen support, so not going backwards on that front coming from my yoga pro 2.
      E. I trust Dell more than I trust Huawei, call my racist, whatever idc, but there is clear reasons behind the governments of major countries around the world (USA, AUS, UK, to name a few) banning Huawei products for government use due to national security concerns.

In saying that, the Huawei probably has a better screen and 2 generations newer CPU (but i5 vs i7 in this one).

  • Huwai checked with Microsoft about upgrading 8gb ram no definite answer , that was no go for me

  • Does this model have the Thunderbolt 3 port (USB-C) that can be used for charging?

  • +3

    I bought Dell Latitude 7290 Intel i5 8350u 1.70Ghz 16Gb Ram 256Gb SSD 12.5" HD Win 11
Last deal… Same company. From ebay, was week.

And now, I Cannot reach to customer service!

Laptop came in much of dust.

I messaged… But they didn't interest with me issue.

    Good luck!

        Wait;
        Who is this Lonewolf1983

What a easy way to return process!!!
Ur responsibility is reply ur all messages that the customers sent about their issues.

And you can't say, if u are unsatisfied then return it.!!!
My advice, you should explain what is that mean "refurbished". Maybe you can add a definition about this word.

        • +1

Lonewolf isn’t a rep. It’s just advice saying you can return under eBay guarantee if not satisfied

        • +3

The joys of dealing with the public 😅

  • +2

Really interested in this one but bought the 7390 with i5 processor(not 2in1) on 13th June for $399.

@calmago: What's your change of mind return policy for eBay purchases ? I haven't received my previous purchase yet, but I would like to return that and buy this instead. Tried to call twice but no one attended.

    • +1

I would be bit worried if no one pick up the phone for selling activity, let alone for after-sale service call.

      • +2

Also it's been 3 hours & no reply to my direct question here. Going by the upvotes lots of other members want to know the answers to these questions too.

It's enough to make me not buy from this store.

    • Their team replied to me on eBay that I can refuse to accept delivery from Australia Post for the previous order for a full refund.
I have now ordered the one in this deal.

    • +1

30 days for eBay plus items, otherwise seller dependent.
