  • Makes me wonder why I convert my Woolies reward points to Qantas pts. $10 = 2k pts wow = 1k pts Qantas which is not even $10 with OP
Feels like pts loosing half the value by converting to Qantas.

You are. I only transfer EDR points to QFF to get Points Club, as soon as I get there I use EDR points for WW shops, there's no point eating the loss otherwise.

  • Man… I ordered some digital TCN Teen gift cards last night but haven’t arrived yet.
The slow service is on par with their call center, lol.

    • As long as they don't get lost in transit like their bagages.

  • hi guys,

I received my teens digital cards today, but I found no way I can convent them into JB-gift cards as the guys mentioned.

    Can anyone help please

    • +2

I also received teen cards. Just activate them (need to put in your details on the link and verify) and add to your Google or apply wallet.

It doesn't need to be converted to JB they can be used at any participating store as a gift card.

Used today , 5 vouchers in one transaction in store

  • should I convert to JB HIFI gift cards to use in store or online? Is there a limit of how many gift cards you can use for one online transaction?

should I convert to JB HIFI gift cards to use in store or online?

I don't think it matters, unless:

      • You're concerned about JB Hi-Fi withdrawing from the TCN gift card scheme, or

      • You want to use a lot of TCN digital gift cards in one transaction in-store, due to the maximum number of cards you can store in Apple Pay or Google Pay. (A lot means more than ten.)

Is there a limit of how many gift cards you can use for one online transaction?

You can only redeem one TCN digital gift card for each online transaction at JB Hi-Fi.

You can redeem an unlimited number of JB Hi-Fi gift cards for each online transaction at JB Hi-Fi.

  • Ordered a couple digital TCN Teen gift cards last night but haven’t arrived yet.

Any idea on the average turn around? Was hoping to use these today. Could it take longer over weekend if not automated?

    • Same here, ordered a couple yesterday and none is received yet.

      • Rang up Qantas and they said they will contact TCN and to wait another couple business days.

Not sure what different between others that received theirs within an hour?

    • Update - just received gift cards.

Got my 2 x Teen GC the day after purchase (Friday)

  • I have 7200 points that I got from travel to a job last year and I’m worried as nothing gets added or I’m not active with it I lose them.
It’s not a lot of points but just something I gained going to and from work for short period.
Lol think this will be used for a local flight etc probably does not come close not even checked but I’m sure you need lots.
I did have a lot on year while back and I lost them all and was annoyed as I could have done something with them had I known.

I do buy often from jb hifi and was think it maybe a year or more since I had this points in my account why not take this offer up before they go.

Least I have something for it.
Or what would this get me if not using it for gift card?

I do have velocity points again nothing gets added to them inactive and I worry these would disappear one day I have 65564 or there about what would this get me or family? Would it cover a family of 4 to say Gold Coast etc from Perth? Return probably not but how to I find out as a short trip over east might be nice for the family.

But these Qantas points was more or less just work travel and would this be a good option to get the gift card. Obviously jb hifi would be the option but I’m reading him cards are better as maybe get more value.

    • I’m worried as nothing gets added or I’m not active with it I lose them.

Your points don't expire unless you stop earning them.
Both American Express cards and Woolworths give you Qantas points, so you should be accumulating them every month just by paying your credit card bill and doing your shopping. It's quite difficult not to earn any points for over a year !

I do have velocity points again nothing gets added to them inactive and I worry these would disappear one day

Again, Coles give you Velocity points on your shopping - you should be adding to them fairly regularly just by doing normal grocery shopping.

There are a zillion other ways to earn Qantas and Velocity points - but credit cards and grocery shopping are the least effort, because these are things you already do.

Much easier way to trigger Qantas points is use the Wellbeing app. Answer some random questions once every few months. No need purchase anything.

Besides groceries from WoW, to get Q points from Kogan's purchases, various online shops (via Quantas portal), BP.

You can check on the virgin australia website. Just hit the "use points" toggle and search your flights.

One way PER to OOL is 23.3k points + $57 in tax.

  • Just curious if I got a tcn online card for eBay does this stack with the 20% promo currently on? Could I use the 20% off and use this gift card and use afterpay for remaining amount and how quick does the tcn online card take to arrive

  • Can the xbox digital gcs be stacked to buy an xbox series x from the microsoft online store or are they only for digital purchases?

    • +1

Can be used to buy hardware including xbx consoles. Just redeem the digital gc to your microsoft account and use your account balance to pay.

      • Cheers for that. I had another look and looks like the xbox gc does the same thing and it's included in the TCN teen gc so I might get that one for better value!

  • hi all, i want to buy an apple watch s7 for my wife. Will this be a good option to buy her watch by buying TGG gift card where TGG will also give $80 store credit?

Watch: $549, $500 worth of TGG gift card 69,000 points, its already $50 off and then $80 store credit.

DO you think its worth getting gift card?? kindly advise!

  • Thanks OP! Bought the "Alienware 510K Low-Profile RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard" from JB, price matching Dell here: https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/alienware-510k-low-profile-r…

For those worried about the delay in getting cards, the direct JB Hi Fi cards came through in about 5 minutes. Can also stack multiple cards online.
So slightly worse value (~4%) compared to the 'Him' cards, but worth considering.

  • Does anyone know the expiry of the Teen cards? If we convert them to JB, do they have an expiry?

I've ordered one just to see, but it is taking a while to arrive.

    Thanks

    • Just received, and the Teen card didn't specify an expiry. When converted to JB, it states no expiry.

      • For future reference… TCN gift cards should have a three year expiry.

  • Cheers, OP. I redeemed $750 worth of Teen cards for ~95k points (3x$200, 1x$100, 1x$50), converted to xbox GCs and bought an Xbox series x for $749 plus $1 for 3 months gamepass ultimate.

I had to call Microsoft support because the Microsoft online portal refused to process the Microsoft account balance (from the xbox GCs) as payment for the xbox console on checkout but the CS rep did it for me over the phone so all good.

  • Order the woolies gc last Friday. Qantas called yesterday to confirm my ID. So far still have not issued the gc…. is this standard?

  • -1

Do we think this will expire?

    • Did you bother reading the OP where there's an expiry date listed?

      • -1

        sorry totally missed it

      • Wait where is there an expiry in the OP? wtf? Literally no expiry listed?

        • Did you not see the date under the tags and above the report button? Clearly says it expires today (June 30).

You'd think for someone who's been a member for a decade, they would know where the expiry date of a deal is …

          • @kerfuffle: Honestly never noticed that block of info - it doesn't say expiry and the font is even kinda grey.

            Regardless thank you.

  • And after a week, they cancelled my order on woolies gc. Is this normal?

  • They also refunded my order for Uber gift cards - after I called them to confirm the order and they said they'd send it to me.

  • Anyone know if these prices reductions are frequent?
