No need to get grumpy with the OP when the price is there. We need more people posting deals. Plus there's plenty of mods and power users to fix it (which they just did).

      • +4

Agreed - especially for those items where the url is still valid but price has dropped

      • +9

Agree, lets not let ozbargain be like stackoverflow 😅

      • +1

Appreciate! was doing it on the go…

        • +1

yoooo that is THE WORST - trying to flip between tabs to copy/paste - then ebay/amazon links not being able to share properly from the app so you gotta go back to google, search the item and grab the link from there smh

It aint much but it's honest work i suppose.

Same price at Amazon for the same color: 8bitDO zero 2 pink

    • +3

      OOS?

  • +4

looks cute but also looks like mad hand cramps

    • The left and right hand are closer together, but if you grew up with a gameboy, you wont find the size of the interactive sections unfamiliar.

      • +7

When I was 5yo playing the gameboy my hands were like half of their grown size though.

        • I still find my gameboy pocket and gameboy micro very comfortable.

I guess if you dont find time to play your handhelds anymore, this deal is probably of little value anyway.

Id perhaps try an Xbox controller, they're known for being big, they might better suit your hands.

All the best finding something that works for you

          • @MasterScythe: Well admittedly haven't tried using an old school gameboy for over a decade. I've got a 3DS, PSP & Vita though.

Guessing it doesn’t work with Apple TV

    • +5

The first result from Googling “8bitdo zero apple tv” is a Reddit page where someone confirmed it works with Apple TV when put in macOS mode.

Another post someone says the input lag is quite high.

  • +4

Had this ages ago. It's quite good especially for its price. Not intended for long play sessions, but nice to just throw in a pocket. Way better than an on screen keyboard. Only thing to mention is that it's micro usb and an older model.

Kogan has the turquoise for $22.99 if that colour is more your style
    https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/8bitdo-zero-2-bluetooth-gamepad…

  • This thing any good to use with Firestick emulation?

    • Lag may be an issue.

    • So long as you use an emulator with delay compensation settings, you're always in the clear :)

  • why can't they just do these in normal colours?

    • +1

      What’s “normal”?

      • Black and White.

        • +3

Of all the options out there, you list the two shades that arent colours :p

          • @MasterScythe: People didn't learn their shades from colours in school evidently.

          • -1

@MasterScythe: you must be fun at parties

            • @ymottomttdl: I’d find talking to someone intelligent at a party fun.

            • @ymottomttdl: Hells yeah, I provide the network gear for the parties. Without me, there is no LAN, so, there is no party.

      • they do their ones in white gray and black with button colours matching snes or other consoles

  • +1

One handy feature is the ability to change the DPAD to read as the Left or Right Stick with a button combo.

Makes jumping from Super Smash to Tetris 99 and back to SNES games a breeze.

$9 bucks is a deal Thanks

  • +3

I use this for uni study when I just gotta go through slides, Anki, Quizlet, or anything like that

    • +1

Yeah, its actually pretty useful in that sense, a lot of people seem to use it essentially as a remote.

    • Wait what!? I had no idea you could use a controller with these, do you use it on PC or is this for mobile?

  • I can confirm this is a controller that works!

  • is there any input lag for this?

I had other wireless/BT controllers and they are laggggg like Super Mario jumping thru to other stage… :P

    • +1

Yes. All Bluetooth controllers will have input lag.

This is why I love that Xbox still don’t use Bluetooth on their consoles like Sony, even though the Xbox controllers do now support Bluetooth on devices besides Xboxes.

    • +1

Barely noticed any lag while playing Super Smash - response felt the same as a Pro controller.

      • Of course it would be the same. The Pro controller is also Bluetooth.

That’s why competitive players use wired controllers.

        • Its a fascinating deep dive into controller tech, to learn where and when wired is faster than wireless.

As one example Ive been down the rabbit hole of; The Switch is an interesting case, since the controllers use standard usb when wired, this means 125hz polling; using a bluetooth controller vastly outperforms, assuming the 2.4ghz spectrum isnt noisy.

Its a rabbit hole, but a very fun one, if you're into that.
