    According to a staff member I spoke to a lot of that really cheap clearance stuff is either 1 or 2 items in rural stores or occasionally missing inventory that hasn’t been removed from the system.

  Are the Ctek chargers worth twice the Repco branded ones?

  I don't care too much about the amp rating as I'm happy to slowly charge, unless a higher rating is better for the maintenance/desulphate type functions.

  e.g. Repco 2.5A $52, Ctek 3.8A $104

  Op says excludes batteries but I just added one to my cart with racv card and the discount applies. YMMV.

  As a car enthusiast, I use these sales to my advantage by buying 6L of oil and oil filter for my car, costing me under $100 total. Normally it would be around ~$130. My car takes around 3.5L so the remaining is used next service and I service it twice a year. Long story short, I save around $60 a year which, up until recently, used to be a full tank of fuel for me.
  Beats going to a shop for an oil change at $200 per visit
